Carrot cake with raisins and heaps of cream cheese icing... heaven! Even my husband who claims "it's not desert if it's not chocolate" has seen the light and loves it as much or more than me.
But keep the nasty walnuts out of it. Nuts in baked goods is... no.2 -

Mmm, ketchup! I don't eat it very often anymore, but that's mostly because it benefits so much from a big heap of fried potatoes underneath, as a sort of condiment for the ketchup. Other sides for the ketchup are just not the same.
When one of our previous US administrations wanted to count it a vegetable (in school lunches), I was against it on principle, but it would totally work for me.
But I went to a school where gravy was literally a school lunch entree (hamburger gravy, pork gravy, turkey gravy, etc. - a few small crumbles or shreds of meat, atop a big heap of instant mashed potatoes . . .
. . . y'know, speaking of foods that have no reason to exist (as an entrée, anyway)). Also, there was lettuce shreds with vinaigrette and pastel mini-marshmallows: Salad.
But I digress.1 -

Raisins in my carrot cake? No thanks.
Nuts? I usually detest them in cakes/brownies - but in carrot cake is fine. Just not too many of them.0 -

No - what was wrong was that picture you posted in the ghr thread.0

Honestly mine would be mayo, mustard, and ketchup. They make me legit gag. I can't touch food with those condiments on it.1

how could i even have missed that in my own thread? *confession*: still missing it. you mean the translucent hologram guy with no skivvies on? there isn't much point in making a guy translucent if you're just going to put clothes on him though.1 -

Congealed jelly? Do you mean a pork pie? (something I'd consider British, generally eaten cold, with thick pastry, and a clear jelly around the meat middle)0 -
Candied peel, or earwax chunks as i call it!1

Eggnog- if it's not okay to eat raw cookie dough because of the raw eggs, why is okay to drink raw eggs????3

Bourbon or rum kill anything from the raw eggs.
I'm not sure if this is actually true, but it's what I tell myself. I'm not the biggest eggnog fan but do feel like I should have a glass or two around the holidays.4 -
So, you take lime jello.
You with me so far?
Then you shred carrots and add it to the lime jello.
THEN
You spread mayonnaise on top of it.
Because that's a thing people say "You know what this jello needs? Mayonnaise"
My mother in law makes this on the regular.
There is also "glorified rice"
So...you start with whipped cream, like you take the cream and you whip it, so homemade fresh whipped cream, which is nearly the world's most perfect food...
and then...you add marachino cherries to it, which are really just the sad memories of cherries.
THEN
you add pineapple to it
And maybe you're like "Eh, this is still okay, I do not find this hateful"
BUT THEN
you add rice.
Because, again, that's a thing people say "you know what this whipped cream needs? Rice"
Anyway, my in-laws all eat it, like it's good.
It's just a way to make whipped cream terrible.

And I thought "rice cereal" with condensed milk, sugar and raisin was bad. It's almost like uncooked rice pudding.0 -

Eggnog- if it's not okay to eat raw cookie dough because of the raw eggs, why is okay to drink raw eggs????
One can home pasteurize the eggs first, if desired. The eggnog isn't as good that way, though. Commercial is all pasteurized, one of many reasons homemade > commercial (big time).
Seriously, raw eggs aren't all that dangerous to healthy people, statistically speaking - even if the alcohol doesn't help anything (IDK about the eggs, but it helps me.).
