How do I resist salty and savory calories when I get the munchies!
I think this is the only place I need help right now!

Don't resist so much as plan for. When do you usually have that particular craving? Is there something you can add to your closest meal, such as an extra seasoning to combat it? Tjis is where daily logging really helps, because you can find a pattern if when and what does or does not help.
Or find the lower calorie alternatives. For me, Tajin or limon with a bit of spray on oil over air popped popcorn is a good alternative. Also good on various fruits.
Or you can premeasure a favorite snack in baggies so you know how much you are eating and can log it correctly.5 -
Thanks! I’ll start being more proactive about planning my snacks into my calories. Prepackaged baggies might be a good idea. I doubt my self control even then though. Maybe I’ll add seasonings to other snacks to fill my cravings. Rice cakes or fruit jerky.0

I like salted radish slices when I get a salty crunchy craving.4

Unless you have a medical reason to restrict salt: Pickles, sauerkraut, kim chi.3

I find if I eat more filling meals I don't get the cravings or need to snack.0

I need to keep raw veggies on hand. But sometimes I can't eat them in time and I end up wasting some. I hate waste of course.0 -
I've resorted to lower-cal popcorn. I get the salty/crunchy that I want, but minimal cals/carbs (relatively). Pair it with a diet soda (or 3) and I can end up feeling fairly full, at least for a short time. Probably not the best crutch, but at this point, I'm happy trading more damaging habits/vices for less damaging ones. This is a less damaging one.1

I work my favourite snacks into my calorie goal. I have them after dinner, then immediately brush, floss and mouthwash. It stops me from going back for more.0
