Are sweeteners found in soda bad like they are made out to be?

I have like 2 or 3 glasses of diet soda a day - preservative free -

Are these bad for health? I cannot make any sense of the articles that say they are good or ones that say they are bad.

Just focus on mostly healthy foods in moderation and pay attention to your body feels over time. Most of the articles you read out there are scare mongering agenda driven.

No problem. But if you're drinking them from a large container (liter or two-liter bottle), put them in the refrigerator after you've opened them, since you have selected preservative-free.

Is there even such a thing?

I have no idea, but OP said there is. Given the number of people willing to buy products that claim to not have ingredients that they're afraid of, rationally or not, I would think there would be a market for it.

i have never seen preservative free. and i have never seen an article stating that they are good for you.

The diet coke in my country doesn't contain preservatives. Pepsi does however.

Edit....well I googled and some.sites say it contains citric acid which is a preservative and coke have been pulled on the "no preservatives" mis-truth.

I don't suppose those sites take a position on whether people should stay away from citrus fruit, since on that reasoning it also contains a preservative?

Not the best example if you want to prove they don't cause brain damage. :D

Was that the case I was trying to make?

I don't drink soda because it's horrible for the teeth, but some people drink it, and enjoy it so to each their own. Good luck!
Lol, so is ACV but there's a huge bandwagon of people that totally believe in it.
Bad teeth come from bad oral hygiene. If one takes their of the teeth, then just about anything is fair game to consume.

I don't drink ACV I've been reading about people using it for weight loss, but I'm not on the boat personally. Brushing teeth I agree is important for good hygiene, but I don't drink soda because it's not something I consume
Neither is tea or coffee everyone has preferences.

That was replying to the statement the op said his coke had no preservatives.

No, I got that -- I didn't think that you were advocating the preservative phobia. Sorry I wasn't clear.

I just know that if I drink a soda it gives me a headache. I used to drink Pepsi everyday but I gave it up once to lose weight (lost 5lbs in a month) and now I can't drink it. Sometimes I crave it and get a small amount but then regret it. I don't know if it's the high fructose corn syrup or something else. I can't drink diet it's just gross. I wouldn't say it's good for you it's empty calories with no nutritional value. Will it give you cancer? Probably not in amounts that an average person would drink.

I just drink Coke Zero once in awhile without guilt. I read not long ago that these no-calorie sweeteners can stimulate a craving for sweets or something like that. Doesn't seem to do that to me.
