Even though my Goal was to lose 52# I DID lose 37# and 43# on this Challenge got the past two years! That got me to 187# and nearing my GW.

IMHO Realistic reachable goals help me to stay focused on the BIG picture of doing this for me.

Thanks! I've been told it's crazy to try to tackle all three at once but I HAVE to quit smoking, and I can't seem to do that if I'm drinking. Controlling my eating isn't easy but it's easier than the other two goals, and isn't ruined by one bad decision, whereas one drink leads to more drinks which leads to smoking. So with smoking/drinking, one mistake really can ruin my progress, big-time. I guess controlling my eating is my "rock"- the one thing I can control but still have some leniency with, and that gives me the confidence I need to keep tackling my most important goal of quitting smoking. It's a weird approach but all other approaches I've tried have failed so hopefully this will work for me.
