Might. Might make you so sick you can't eat. Big calorie saving.4

Losing weight is about eating fewer calories and/or burning more.
If drinking vinegar before meals (which seems unpleasant to me) makes you eat less somehow, then sure, it could.
There are many other ways to do the same thing, though, like just eating less, eating mindfully, counting calories, eating satisfying and satiating foods.
I do not believe that drinking vinegar would result in me eating less, and also my meals tend to be about the size I want to eat.2 -
Nope.
I should make a FAQ board. I feel like this is gonna be asked a lot since new years starts.8 -
Vinegar is great on french fries (a Canadian thing) & on fish but there is no evidence of it having any impact on weight loss (contrary to what the con artists would have you think).9

No weight loss benefits in using it that way.
Make a delicious salad dressing with Balsamic Vinegar and freshly chopped mint. It may help to keep calories a bit lower than using some other type of dressings.1 -
If I drank vinegar before I ate my meal I might not even eat my meal, so I guess I would be saving calories that way. But that isn't very rational now is it?
Lose weight by eating less food. Simple.1 -
No, there are no magical potions such as ACV that work. Sorry3

There are drugs that cause fat loss. That statement in general isn't true.24 -
It seams that it does help with certain things. Weight loss was inconclusive in these references.

No there aren't. ...there may be pills that help you with Co that will then help weight loss but direct and only fat burning....no.
Wouldn't even bother trying..5 -

I think you said the same thing I did.7 -

Nope....you said drugs caused FAT loss....
Not the same thing at all.
There are drugs that cause fat loss, but they are either illegal or are questionable like yohimbine; and some OTC combos like EC stack that do provide some fat burning effects. Not that i would recommend any of these.
But ACV is not going to do anything4 -
I've said it dozens of times before, I'll say it again:
While losing weight, I went through through long periods drinking a shot glass of ACV daily, for reasons unrelated to weight loss. I also went through long periods not drinking it. Logged meticulously during both. Zero difference in weight loss. Zero difference in appetite.6 -

This diet fad goes back to the 1970's at least. It doesn't work any better now than it did back then.2 -
It might not be great at drinking it before meals, but I use it to clean my kitchen and it works FANTASTIC. It's cheap and effective. Yes it smells like pickles for a few minutes but it goes away.0

Is it only a Canadian thing? I guess I just figured everyone did it but I am Canadian soooo....0 -
Also, a natural way to unclog a sink (and a preventative measure against clogs): put one part baking soda into the drain. Add two parts vinegar (the cheap 'white' vinegar is fine) and chase that down with 4 parts boiling water. Usually 1/2-cup baking soda, 1 cup vinegar, 2 cups water is fine, but larger drains may need more.0

Losing weight does not mean you have to punish yourself with yucky crap.
Just keep to your calorie limit with the foods you prefer.2 -
No but it's good with fries.0
-
It's great for dyeing eggs and de-scaling my coffee maker.0
-
No. But it’s good for attracting fruit flies.1

Drinking vinegar is a great way to take the enamel off your teeth.1
-
Mmm... I could really go for some home fries with vinegar.0

Its somewhat common in parts of the US. I grew up with them when i was at the shore in Jersey or Maryland.0
