If broscience is so wrong, how is it that when we see a jacked guy we refer to him as "bro"?

"Broscience." I like it because you get to make your points and denigrate an entire gender, all at the same time. What a twofer.
Dude, you can't get "Brah" without "Bra."
If it offends anyone's tender sensibilities, we can always refer to it as Old Muscle-y Wives Tales.
But I like Broscience because you can conveniently shorthand it as "BS."8 -

...but those bacon facts though.. yikes
For my bacon and breakfast sausage fix, my go to brand is Morningstar Farms. After taste testing, I find the crunchiness and taste of their products is the best for my palate. There are other options out there, including vegan ones for those who want to cut down on the carcinogens and still get their crunch-sweet-smoky-salty fix. I've also tried the following recipe for vegan bacon using firm tofu, and it's pretty darn tasty.

Regarding the real thing: I'll still eat it occasionally. In case no one noticed, life is a terminal illness and none of us are getting out of this alive.7 -

Feel like it needs to be specified somewhere and I guess I didn't in my first post, but documentaries on Netflix do not count as reliable sources of information.4

A lot of "I heard" and "someone told me" questions on the board lately so I thought I'd give this a bump.0

Thanks for this post! It's hard to sort through all the broscience floating around. When I first started myfitnesspal years ago I relied heavily on their blog to learn about nutrition and weight loss but unfortunately picked up incorrect info there too. The forums have been a great resource though! I've learned so much this year from other members.
I've been watching Healthcare Triage videos on youtube lately. The channel talks about all sorts of healthcare topics and discusses the research in an easy to understand way. Being able to understand the studies (or lack of them) behind the claims people make has made me much less gullible (I hope!).
