    My sympathies.
Why sad? Someone has to invent the new smart phones and tablets you want to buy in 2 years.

I've been attacked by one of those

Attacked? More like antagonized it until it became enraged and had to leap out at you. It probably smacked you a few times too. H

    Careful, they spit.
Yes but if you suck it gets it all out , you know the poison
but that makes no sense.. if it spits then it doesn't need to be sucked out. Although venom and poison are used interchangeably it actually refers to how it gets into a vessel. Poison is something that is consumed whereas venom is injected... so a plant is poisonous, but a snake bite is venomous.
    Great story bro
I can tell it again. Perhaps with more dramatic flair even!

Wait I'm confused a small snake=technological advancement and a inventive spirit?

But but I heard Edison's trouser snake looked like a baby's arm holding an apple...have they lied to me all these years? Was it really a furry earthworm wearing a turtleneck?

    So disillusioned.

Edison wasn't that great of an inventor, so I think his pet snake is irrelevant.

    Tesla was* an inventor!

Big snakes attract attention... Everyone knows that little snakes are less bothersome.

Poison is something that is consumed whereas venom is injected... so a plant is poisonous, but a snake bite is venomous.

Aha but see this is wherein the fallacy lies. For you see the Homotroserias serpentis or to use layman's terms trouser snake actually is quite capable of either injecting venom or spitting out poison. How you may ask? Well let's examine the physiology of our organism in question. No you see the attacked, as she claimed although there is high speculation as to the claim of her innocence, decided to taste the trouser snake. This is a common practice because it will eventually calm the beast. However, the danger of this method is that the snake can become so full of venous rage that it begins to spit violently at you and it spits a poison that may be volatile or pleasant. For many victims of this attack the only recourse is to swallow the poison to neutralize it's effect. Hence why our "victim" had to violently suck possibly to the back of her throat but once again this is speculation.

As far as the injection of venom goes when the snake is wrapped up into a tight, warm, wet sleeve it becomes very very angry, moving back and forth back and forth to escape the pressure but eventually injects loads and loads of venom into the sleeve. Now your victim happens to be holding this sleeve and just gets massive amounts of venom. This venom is very deadly and with the right back and forth motion can weaken the victim putting her (or him) into an induced coma, shallow breathing and the dreadful cuddly state.

So as you see our friend the snake is a beast of many methods to subdue its prey. A few tips to help reduce the bitterness of some poisons drink pineapple juice and lots of fruits and vegetables. The animal needs lots of petting and reassurance for it can be a timid creature. And as stated before handle with care.

I hope you have been enlightened and appreciate the duality of the trouser snake.
