Yep, been talking about it here and there and figure it's easier to dedicate a separate thread to it rather than hijacking one in which everyone should be sharing their work!

However, this is where you lovely people come in: I would like suggestions on the themes/subjects I draw each day. So in part, please leave suggestions on what you would like to see me draw. Don't ask me to draw portraits of you (or others), this isn't that kind of thread, sorry. Mostly, you all seem like a creative lot and I like getting out of my head to see what other things can be illustrated.

It helps keep me focused and it's hard to eat and draw at the same time, so it serves a secondary purpose, lol.

Things I will accept as suggestions:
  • Animals/insects/plants/mythological creatures/supernatural stuff
  • Actions (fly, leap, jump, etc.)
  • Abstract concepts or themes (beauty, horror, nirvana, etc.)
  • Anime/cartoon characters
  • Songs
  • Probably some other things that escape me at the moment

    Pets are acceptable as a workaround to the "no portraits" thing. I don't mind drawing people, but I don't want this to turn into a "draw me" thread. :)

    Ohh, I can't draw but occasionally I'll draw little doodles of oddball character type faces. It's pretty sad how silly they are, but it's kinda fun to do. :smiley:

    No such thing as sad art (unless it's literally art depicting people/things being sad. It's good that you doodle. :)

    @CanesGalactica I love your work so much! You probably know this

    suggestions:

    - something "subliminal" or hidden...like a picture within a picture. (I used to always do abstract paintings with hidden things in them because I was so shy I'd want to distract from my drawings)
    - hands (I've heard they are hard)
    - eyeballs are fun
    - horror? How about auto-cannibalism?
    - please do a tarantula for me!

    Okay, this started off as a kind of simple idea, but has kinda evolved from this sketch. It's a tattoo design based off of a Neko Case song and one of her common themes (foxes). But since it's kinda personal, the design evolved and now there's flowers and a centipede and some vines.

    I'll post the inked drawing when I get it done.. and then possibly color.

    This is so pretty :o How about a tattoo sketch style for something a bit more on the darker/demonic/evil side. Seems like youd be good at it and i need ideas xD

    Spending my day working on a Homecoming sign by painting with dollar store paint, lol.

    Getting my inner Bob Ross on with those happy little clouds, lol. No trees though. :lol:

    My tween (11 in Feb) is a natural artist. I showed her your stuff and she gave it two thumbs up. :-) She has a fascination with FNAF.
