Exercise week starts on Monday?

Why does the excercise week start on Monday and not Sunday? I did 60 minutes of cardio last Sunday, 45 on Monday, and I was just about to enter today’s and it says I have 45 minutes for the week. It should say I have 105. The calendar starts on Sunday. I’m confused.

A lot of fitness apps do that...my Strava does that. I don't really know what difference it makes...you know you exercised.

If you are regular in your exercise habits, your"week" will even out :)

It shouldn't matter as long as it starts on the same day every week.

It matters to me because I have set goals and it says I haven’t met them.

You can set up MFP to start on Monday’s too if you wish to sync them up

I was pretty sure there was such a setting in MFP, but I haven't toyed with the settings in so long that I don't remember. I know that Garmin Connect lets me choose which day is the start of the week.

    Settings—> Weekly Nutrition Settings

Then pick the day you want to start your week with

Huh? Ok, so keep exercising. Really?! You’re worried about what day something starts on. Me thinks you probably have bigger problems to worry about.

Because for some people their week starts on Monday and for others it starts on Sunday. I most definitely have had calendars/planners that start on Monday start despite the fact I personally think the week starts on Sunday. The planner I currently use starts on Monday, my Google Calendar is set to start the week on Sunday, and Training Peaks starts their calendar on Monday. For better or worse not everyone agrees that the week starts on Sunday (oh no - whatever shall I do?!) however I have yet to have that stop me from setting and meeting goals, organizing my week, etc. The only one of those that has been really frustrating over the years is Training Peaks but it is far from the end of the world.

I understand your reason for wanting to change the weekly "start date". Yes, even though it will all even out, it is helpful to be able to track progress based on various personal factors. I noticed that MFP answered the question by stating that you go to Settings>Weekly Nutrition Settings>Select Day of Week. After wasting about an hour on the website trying to find it, it occurred to me that those instructions may only apply to the app. Sure enough it is in the app. Hope that's helpful.
