Exercise week starts on Monday?

Why does the excercise week start on Monday and not Sunday? I did 60 minutes of cardio last Sunday, 45 on Monday, and I was just about to enter today’s and it says I have 45 minutes for the week. It should say I have 105. The calendar starts on Sunday. I’m confused.

A lot of fitness apps do that...my Strava does that. I don't really know what difference it makes...you know you exercised.1

If you are regular in your exercise habits, your"week" will even out2

It shouldn't matter as long as it starts on the same day every week.2

Why does it matter?3

It matters to me because I have set goals and it says I haven’t met them.4

You're going to let an app tell you whether or not you've met your goals when you already know you did?
I have a goal to ride 50 miles per week...I forgot to turn on my Strava once and on another day it stopped on me. Strava says I road 30 miles...I don't let Strava tell me I haven't met my goals when I know I actually rode 50.
Beyond that, it'll all even out..
As a side note, I did a ride once and thought I stopped my Strava at the end, but it kept going apparently...I had to drive a 120 mile round trip up to Santa Fe after that...when I got home my Strava was giving me all kinds of PRs and congratulations and whatnot because I road 120 miles in 2.5 hours...10 -
You can set up MFP to start on Monday’s too if you wish to sync them up2

Settings—> Weekly Nutrition Settings
Then pick the day you want to start your week with1 -
Huh? Ok, so keep exercising. Really?! You’re worried about what day something starts on. Me thinks you probably have bigger problems to worry about.3

Because for some people their week starts on Monday and for others it starts on Sunday. I most definitely have had calendars/planners that start on Monday start despite the fact I personally think the week starts on Sunday. The planner I currently use starts on Monday, my Google Calendar is set to start the week on Sunday, and Training Peaks starts their calendar on Monday. For better or worse not everyone agrees that the week starts on Sunday (oh no - whatever shall I do?!) however I have yet to have that stop me from setting and meeting goals, organizing my week, etc. The only one of those that has been really frustrating over the years is Training Peaks but it is far from the end of the world.0

I understand your reason for wanting to change the weekly "start date". Yes, even though it will all even out, it is helpful to be able to track progress based on various personal factors. I noticed that MFP answered the question by stating that you go to Settings>Weekly Nutrition Settings>Select Day of Week. After wasting about an hour on the website trying to find it, it occurred to me that those instructions may only apply to the app. Sure enough it is in the app. Hope that's helpful.0
