Successes/struggles of the week: Snow! Horrific weather in London and I slipped and landed on my hip on Wednesday. Messed up my workout routine a bit and I had to take the short walking route to work and use the bus a bit. However, I managed to do modified workouts instead of just giving up so pleased with that! Plus a series of events and meetings meant I had a lot more movement while at work so step count was actually not much lower than normal.11 -
Been using MFP nearly 3 years. This is in kgs.

Had a 10 day holiday where I guesstimated much of my calorie intake when eating out which was every night. Had an awesome time. Feeling relaxed and rejuvinated.

Success/struggles of the week: As a reminder, I stopped calorie counting on purpose earlier this year. Since then, I noticed a trend where I was eating a LOT more in the evenings as a result of somehow thinking food no longer had calories (it’s a miracle!). I downloaded an app to track habits and confirmed I had a problem with overeating to resolve. Time to get to work!
Good luck everyone!13 -

Successes: stable weight, despite little exercise due to cold weather, and several coffee machine hot chocolate and mochas, due to heating problems at work and forgotten lunch one day. Walked friend/colleague several blocks on 2 occasions, to make up for lack of exercise. Back to a 25-minute walk today. 35000 steps,+ 1 jog: not a ton, but better than nothing.
Struggles: getting enough exercise when it's really cold out, avoiding coffee machine sugary drinks when forgotten lunch or very cold out, pretty hungry at end of work day, when I have to go from place to place, getting enough healthy food, to not feel hungry, on those running around days, without overeating. I need to bring more vegetable and lean protein volume, tea. Am still 4 lbs over maintenance (stable). Don't know if I need to tweak or be patient. I'll be patient for 2 more weeks, and then see.11 -

@stephenearllucas - I have the same issue with my DH. He likes me about 8-10 lbs heavier than the weight I *thought* I preferred to be at (127 versus 117). Funny thing is that I took a photo this morning and compared it to the progress photo of me at 117 and I can’t really tell a difference that would make the new, higher weight unreasonable for me to be comfortable with...
So to your point, if the significant other is happy, perhaps it’s something to consider in regard to making peace to have our own happiness. I mean they have to look at us more that we look at ourselves, so it’s kinda justified, right?

Success/struggles of the week: i realized that my snacking habits have actually improved over the past few(?) months. I stop myself easier, and often don't start until after dinner, and even if i have something, i am able to keep it light and to a minimum, not getting out of control. So that's big, i am very happy about this new skill. On the other hand, i still don't get enough sleep. Part of it is my fault, part is a circumstance. I need to commit to settling for bed much earlier and not make excuses for staying up late.11 -

Success/struggles: I'm still on the high-end of my range, which is annoying, as I've been strict with my workouts and definitely within the 80/20 rule for my meals. Not really sure what is going on. I'm going to cut out all alcohol for two weeks and see if that makes a difference, though I've only really been drinking once a week as it is. Anyway, the good news is that I haven't gone above my ideal range again and that I am feeling strong again/more energetic with my workouts (great run yesterday!). I really hope to see something shift in the next two weeks, as I've got a trip coming up.9 -

Sucesses/Struggles: Happy March everyone! We made it into "almost Spring"!
Once again I can report my weight seems VERY STABLE. Which is weird for me. Good weird but still weird. If this is where my body wants to stay with my current CICO, I'll be quite happy to accept it.
We got out this weekend and did some walking, which felt amazing. It was still chilly, in the 40's but sunny. And of course we were city walking to different breweries, but it's all about balance, right? LOL
I've already given up the "wheat free" thing. I just can't commit to it because I don't think there is merit. I feel no different and it just makes me want what I can't have. Now, that being said I have been cooking our meals at home "wheat free", but that doesn't mean I'll pass up a sandwich while I'm not at home! And I found I can't give up cereal, and the wheat free ones just leave me "underwhelmed", so it is what it is.
Looking forward to April 1st when that 19% raise kicks in. The glory behind finding out about it has faded, and in the words of Jerry Maguire "SHOW ME THE MONEY"!.
I'll talk to you all next week. I hope you are all kicking butt and taking names.10 -

Success/struggles of the week: My weight is up a little after the weekend. We had a surprise birthday party for my MIL on Saturday and my son and his girlfriend came in this weekend so there was a little more food and some nice BBQ ribs that most likely caused some water retention. I feel like it was both a struggle and a success. I didn't log as accurately as usual, but I think I did ok. And even if my weight is up some, it is in my range. I have been maintaining a little under my stated range so I guess being in range is actually good.

Success/struggles of the week: I was away most of last week, so it was difficult to track and to have control over what food was available. I definitely did not eat very healthful foods, but I stopped eating much earlier in the evening (6pm). I think this minimized the damage on the scale. I saw a photo of myself and thought that maybe I should try to lose a few more pounds. Not sure it will be worth it if I can't maintain it in the long run, though. I may see where I end up after a year of maintenance and then decide if more weight should come off.8 -

@sofchak - Thanks for the feedback; I don't she was much concerned about appearance--I think she has some kind of concern about "below 180," for some reason. So, I ate a bit more in February (also reduced my high blood pressure meds, so that added a little bit of water weight, I guess), and I'll aim for 182-183 while continuing to work on improved strength, etc. No change in how clothes fit, so it's fine!6 -

Sorry!!! I forgot to update.
Unfortunately, I've got a throat infection/cold this week. Not feeling great. On antibiotics and a bag load of pain killers. I just can't seem to get enough rest.
Also, my meds for migraine management has changed. It's not a cure but here's hoping that they'll be less frequent, shorter attack days and less painful.
The snow has lifted, I'm for sure looking forward to warmer days.11 -

Successes/struggles of the week: As I keep saying, I'm on a mission to move to the lower end of my maintenance range. According to my Fitbit and my food logging, I have had a fairly consistent daily deficit of about 300 in the last month. Meanwhile, Trendweight has been all over the map, initially showing a daily deficit of over 600!!!, and then letting that fall lower each and every day - ha, this morning it decided my deficit was just 150!!! Anyway, I figure I'm either due for a weight loss whoosh soon, or I need to start considering that my new heart rate Fitbit is overstating my TDEE, hopefully the former! Have a good week y'all, what's left of it!8 -

Successes of the week: Another good work week, and good with food at school, but then keep losing my mind and allowing myself to keep going over at home.
Challenges of the week: Was in less pain this week, but feeling weak. I suspect I took in too many fluids and was hyponatremic again. Seem to be doing better now, but am thirsty after cutting my liquid intake. Workouts went pretty well, though. I may be blowing it as far as food goes, but I will pat myself on the back for fighting for the workouts despite feeling tired and whiny. Go, me!

Successes: Learning the skills that will hopefully help me to keep most of my weight loss off and improve body comp. Lifting hard still.
Challenges: Trying to be less worried about needed weight gain. It's just crazy. Also still macro hording for night time snacking, not going over, but not healthy. Coming to the realization that if I regain too much weight, it will be weight loss surgery for me. I don't want that!

Success/struggles of the week: Did a photo compare and measurement compare against my stats when I was averaging 117lbs. - look about the same in the photos and my measurements show 1 inch gain in tummy but everything else (chest, thigh, arm, hips) stayed the same.
That news doesn’t incentivize me at all to reduce back to 117, so I changed my range to 122-128 with a goal to stick around 125. No sense heeding progress in recomp - if I look almost the same, certainly some of this weight gain is muscle growth from my diligent strength training. If I find the measurements going out of whack, I’ll reassess my weight range and strategy again.
Doing better with mindful eating. Enlisted the DH for help with accountability. He’s a good drill sergeant when he needs to be - “you know neither of us need that cookie!” Lol. I love him so much. I also set a hard and fast rule about no food after 7pm. That should help with my new late night grazing habit, too.
Good luck everyone! Keep going strong!

Feel like there is a little devil whispering in my ear that I "NEED" those extra calories so I can run faster. Hahahaha.. Anyway, it's all a learning experience. I can step back and see why in the past I have yo yo'd all the time. Spring is sprung here in Tx so expect to have longer daylight soon and more activity. HURRAH - made is to the spring equinox without a HUGE gain.9
