Please join me? I've done this type of challenge for several years now. People come and people go but I plan on staying as long as GOD gives me the energy too keep up...
I did not reach my own personal goal in February. I ended with 77.75 missing my goal of 100 miles walking. but I truly did the best I could under many circumstances that kept me from walking more...

February Highlights:
- 200 km Randonnee (timed long distance bicycle ride)... actually 215 km completed within the time limit of 13- 1/2 hours with almost an hour to spare. So it ended up taking us 12 hours and 35 min.
- February Century - my 14th in a row. We've been cycling one 100-mile ride each month for the past 14 months. This was also the 200 km ride mentioned above ... two birds ...
- 57 Hours and 35 Minutes of exercise! Better than my last couple years!
- Over 700 km of cycling outside. My goal for this was actually 600 km, so 700 km is great!
- A 5-day cycling tour in Victoria
- Finished my 7th University Course, my 3rd of the particular level I'm hoping to complete soon, and started my 8th Uni Course, and the 4th and last one of the particular level I'm working on.

My goal for March 2018 is something over my March 2016 total.
As it happens, March is shaping up to be insanely busy. I continue to work full time. I will be in the thick of another university course. And we've got more rides coming up than I actually feel comfortable with ... and we're organising and riding 2 of them! This means that I've got to get busy and finish organising them this weekend. I've also started stepping up my training. Sleep? What's sleep?

Saturday -- We decided to do a little bit of climbing (by bicycle) this weekend! I've kind of lost some of the little climbing skill I had so I figured I'd better focus on it a bit again. I was slow getting up there, but made it without walking and without too much stress. It's a start!
We had a warm climb at first (25C or so), and a lovely descent into Cygnet. Just as we got to Cygnet, it started to rain, so we headed for a small bakery and waited it out.
On the way back we had a little bit of rain, but nothing too serious. And the temperature dropped off to about 18C.
Distance: 41.42 km
Elevation: 698 m
Moving Time: 2:32:00
Elapsed Time: 3:10:59
Speed: Avg: 16.4 km/h | Max: 48.2 km/h

I work full time and our 5-year-old grandson lives with us, so I don't have oodles of time, but I walk 30 minutes on lunch, weather permitting, and we just bought an exercise bike. I'm going to shoot for 125 miles in March, combined between walking and riding. Did three miles yesterday and four today on the bike, but couldn't walk on lunch. Bombed out... Seven miles down, 118 to go!4

Years ago I worked in a Hospital which had a treadmill. I started walking some then. It was much later due too health issues that I retired early and started walking outside. I do have an exercise bike I'm using some. It makes a lot of loud noise. It needs too be worked on as I think the bearings are going out. I use too ride it quite faithfully.
you truly are an inspiration. I hope you NEVER QUIT what you're doing as much as you can as it will give you a longer, healthier life. Just today I got news that a Nurse I worked with passed away from Stroke. She never tried taking good care of herself and she's younger than I am. I know that things happen but sometimes we can be our own worst enemy....ughhhhhhhhhhhhh THANKS, Machka for sharing a bit about yourself. My husband and I have no children but we do have two wonderful godchildren...
EDIT: OH and sometimes I'm curious as too what type of miles you're getting in so I have too go do the km convert too miles...lol...so that helped me understand a bit more...lol0 -

Okay. So I want to hit all of my March training goals. My coach has only posted my workouts through March 25 (and I fly out of the country on the 27th). So, through 3/25:
According to my training plan:
Swimming: 10.5 hours
Biking: 29 hours
Running: 16.5
Plus about 4 hours of strength training per week and one hour of yoga per week. So, I guess:
Strength: 14 hours
Yoga: 3.5
As long as I'm in the green zone on training peaks, I'm happy0 -

NO you're NEVER too late. What we do is choose a mode of exercise that produces steps. You can walk, jog, run, bike or whatever. SOME people do 2 or 3 different things. I usually just walk although this month I'm adding a bit of exercise bike....
Choose a goal. Mine is 100 miles a month of walking...Sometimes I go over, sometimes under.

Thank you for the welcome. My main activity is usually walking too. At the moment I am waiting for knee replacement surgery, so am modifying, and adding some stationary cycling and even some pool therapy. Trying to save the knees , but at the same time build up the muscles for a faster rehab. I live in southern New South Wales , Australia so we are at the end of summer here.

Update:
As of March 1 I am on schedule however I need to stretch more and foam roll more.
So far, since March 1:
Swimming: 5 hours, 47 minutes. 15,550 pool yards (8.84 miles)*
Biking: 14 hours, 54 minutes. 251.2 miles. Ascent and descent unknown.
Running: 7 hours, 34 minutes. 47.81 miles.
Strength: 5 hours, 40 minutes. Subtracted some time for rest.
Yoga: 1.5 hours
This thread has helped motivate me when I have wanted to give up. I made a commitment to myself, publicly, to hit each and every day of training that my coach gives me this month. So far I'm on track (and needing way more sleep).

Today was a good day. At end of day very tired. Husband and I moved some brush/limbs which took us an hour so those steps alone gave me 1.5 step miles as well as a real work out in exercise. Also just returned from a walk with the girls. That gave me 2.5 Walking Miles
