    NO you're NEVER too late. What we do is choose a mode of exercise that produces steps. You can walk, jog, run, bike or whatever. SOME people do 2 or 3 different things. I usually just walk although this month I'm adding a bit of exercise bike....

    Choose a goal. Mine is 100 miles a month of walking...Sometimes I go over, sometimes under.

    WELCOME and hope you stay awhile! I realize you're late but that does NOT MATTER. We will also do this again in APRIL...so come on eileenm just jump right in.... <3

    Thank you for the welcome. My main activity is usually walking too. At the moment I am waiting for knee replacement surgery, so am modifying, and adding some stationary cycling and even some pool therapy. Trying to save the knees , but at the same time build up the muscles for a faster rehab. I live in southern New South Wales , Australia so we are at the end of summer here.

    Total kms 11. (That’s about 6 3/4 miles)

    Update:

    As of March 1 I am on schedule however I need to stretch more and foam roll more.


    So far, since March 1:

    Swimming: 5 hours, 47 minutes. 15,550 pool yards (8.84 miles)*
    Biking: 14 hours, 54 minutes. 251.2 miles. Ascent and descent unknown.
    Running: 7 hours, 34 minutes. 47.81 miles.
    Strength: 5 hours, 40 minutes. Subtracted some time for rest.
    Yoga: 1.5 hours


    This thread has helped motivate me when I have wanted to give up. I made a commitment to myself, publicly, to hit each and every day of training that my coach gives me this month. So far I'm on track (and needing way more sleep).


    *not open water equivalent since kicking off the wall, no waves/current, etc.

    My ipad could not get me into community yesterday for some reason. So to catch up, I have had a slow couple of days traveling for a medical appointment. The steps on my Garmin device gave me.

    Total. 14.96 kms

    Mostly sitting down I am afraid :) but hoping to catch up in the coming week.
    I had to smile at you swimming miles goatg (well done) . I have arthritic knees awaiting surgery, but I am having pool therapy to build up muscles. I am really enjoying it. Never been a swimmer, but determined to be capable of a short snorkeling swim on an upcoming cruise. However I am not in your league. Well done.
