My son's birthday is tomorrow, and his father messaged me to tell me he remembers how scared and brave I was on this day 25 years ago... and how proud he is of me for raising such an amazing young man.
It was sweet and unexpected.12 -

He has his moments lol. We divorced 17 years ago, but he still likes to send occasional reminders that he thinks I'm strong or awesome for one reason or another. Benefits of not marrying a total *kitten*.6 -

We just went to dinner and talked about all the important stuff.
She's really close with her mom, is generally a very empathic person, and her mom was just diagnosed with cancer. She and I are both triggered by our space being messy so tomorrow I'm going over to help her clean.
Her guy is out of town through next week so I might kidnap her for a night or two, too, since she's having trouble sleeping. She just called and woke me up. Crying. Thought she'd get my voicemail. She never lets her walls down. Everyone thinks she's teflon.2 -
As an aside, she's also one of the most beautiful, kind, smart, charitable, educated, well-rounded people I've ever known.0

That's awesome. Congrats! My son learned how to snowboard in St Sauveur (Quebec). He loved it but left his snowboard behind when he moved back to the states. There aren't a lot of places to go snowboarding in Ohio lol.1 -
I got home and my 4 stepsons all ran up to me and gave me big hugs and told me how much they missed me.
Tomorrow it will be my two kids coming back from their dads.1 -

I ski, but one time I decided to try snowboarding and accidentally went down a double black diamond on the first slope.... took me like 2 hrs lol
That’s funny lol.... I was the opposite. I was a snowboarder. I was given brand new ski gear, tried it once, and gave it back.0 -

My coworker came in with lunch for me. She made us vegan lentil bowls with eggplant, butter lettuce and tahini. I love that she feeds me and I love that she knows that I'm trying hard to lose weight!3

This is pretty random.
Driving this morning some person cut me off with a last minute lane change with no room to spare which caused me to have to swerve. So I blared the horn the whole time he/she cut me off, and blared it as they went into the turning lane, and blared it as they drove down to the corner and blared it as they made their turn.
I felt great!2 -

Sounds like you're doing a good job raising her. Well done mama!1
