I have 2 more days to go but I have exceeded my goal for 49 day work challenge. about 40lbs down
what works for me. I would be interested in learning what is working for you.
1. limiting food choices. I have about 10 healthy foods on my list. seems to eliminate cravings.
2. reading labels on everything.
3. have one hot large very fulfilling meal a day. and a sensible lunch.
4. no food past 8pm
5. do not drink alcohol every day. weekends okay
6. learn to eat for survival not enjoyment. my go to was raw cucumbers and pickles. I didn't have to like it but I could eat as many as needed to fill my stomach.
7. tell the people closest to you what your doing. this motivated me a lot. I do not like to publicly fail.
8. get back up after a bad day! never give up.
I look forward to hearing something from your diet.
thank you for sharing what works for you. I truly enjoy hearing all these success stories and how they have been achieved. due to injuries it is nearly impossible for me to exercise without pain so this is my first time ever trying to loose a few pounds by dieting alone. I have learned so much in the past 2 months and part of that was from all of you
thank you again. I will still be logging everything for awhile but my goal now is to stay below 200 pounds and learn a maintenance diet. might stay in the 10 day challenge for a little bit or find a maintenance community.

Day/Weight/Comment
3/9- 139.26 Hovering at this weight the last few days.
3/10- 139.48 Well that will teach me to complain. lol Really it is just normal fluctuation. Doing well sticking to calories.
3/11- 140.14 Had a few drinks last night and a late night snack.
3/12- 139.26 I'm already finding myself hungry today. Trying to stick to the plan and distract myself rather than eat. I hate days like this.
3/13- 139.26 Great day. Lots of good choices even though I was busy.
3/14- Out for a university visit with my son. Lots of walking, but also eating out.
3/15- 139.26 This weight really seems to like me. I've tried even going lower on calories, but the weight is not budging at all.
3/16- 139.48 Can winter be over already? I would love a full week of being able to go outdoors.
3/17- 139.48 Nothing new. Sticking to calories, drinking lots of water, and moving around.

Peaches to Beaches was yesterday, and my friend Sandra came up from my hometown. We spent all day going from one yard sale to another. We did a lot of walking, but we did a lot of eating, too, both sweets, greasy, and salty with little water! Totally enjoyed myself; it was worth every watery pound! , but back on track, today!

Had an doctor's appt. in ATL this morning, so slow on water intake. Got to pick up the pace!

Feeling good, after six rounds stuck right around 156, I am finally seeing some progress. Funny, this week I haven't been able to exercise due to being wiped out from a cold, but it seems to have prompted my body to release some weight, maybe do a little reset.
03/10: 153.5
03/11: 153.0
03/12: 151.5
Totally, completely, and in all other ways undeserved! I straight up binged on stale, packaged sweet rolls yesterday (ugh), hardly had any water, and I haven't exercised in a week because I've been sick. I also had a soda for the first time in many months. It's like bizarro weight loss rules. I'm going to start exercising again today. Only .5 lb to the 50 lb mark!
03/13: 152.0
Hiked yesterday and went to TRX tonight. Good on calories.
03/14: 152.0
03/15: 153.0
Having a pretty good week. Might be up a bit because of sodium yesterday. I had half of a relatively healthy frozen pizza, still a lot of salt.
03/16: 153.0
Ate light yesterday and today.

But I am going to complete this round. I will!! I'm tired of bouncing back and forth with my weight. I want to see a steady decrease. I want to be better. My son is 15 months old and I want to be able to set a better example for him when it comes to health. I can do it. I will do it!
SW: 228lbs
GW: 224lbs
Ultimate GW: 175lbs
3/9 - 225lbs - Yay! I like that as a start. It might be back up tomorrow, though. My dad came to visit us and we went out to dinner to a place that had a very limited menu. I got a chicken sandwich, but didn't realize it was fried until it came out... I cut it in half, though, and substitutes fries for veggies!
3/10 - 226lbs. Yep. Not at all surprised thanks to last night's dinner. But I've done well today, so hopefully that'll reflect in tomorrow's number.
3/11 - 224.4lbs. Alright! Back down! I'm happy to see that. I keep looking through these before and after transformation photos and all I can think is I really want to be able to share my own some day... Just gotta keep working at it!
3/12 - 225lbs. I wasn't totally on track yesterday, so that's not a surprise. I just need to do better. More consistent.
3/13 - 223.8lbs. Woo, back down! I wasn't totally on my game diet wise today, but I did take a long walk so I got a fair amount of steps.
3/14 - 226lbs. I didn't want to report this. I really thought about leaving it alone. But I am on this journey to be open and honest with my health, so here we are. I overate yesterday. For sure. This isn't a surprising number. But today I resisted the temptation to go out and buy snacks so that I could overeat more. Instead, I stayed home and cooked chicken breasts and asparagus.
3/15 - 224.4lbs. I felt like I did a pretty good job yesterday with diet, which reflected well on the scale. But I did overeat a little today. I really need to get better with that...
3/16 - 225.2lbs. Well. Yep. The overeating gets me. I just have a really hard time fighting it. It's just tough when I'm still job searching and spend the majority of my time home alone. I overeat when I'm bored. But today I spent 5 hours outside building a deck! My husband and I are building a ground level deck ourselves and while he was at work today, I spent my time working on it, so I feel like I burned a good amount of calories!!
3/17 - 226lbs. Man, this week has been fluctuating so much. I kept pretty active today, though. Worked more on our deck and went for a good walk in the park since it was such a nice day.

SW:222.5
Day/Weight/Comment
3/12: 222.5lbs. Good first day on this challenge. Over 10000 steps and a 45 minute weight lifting session. Around 1800 calories for the day.
3/13: 222lbs. Below 2000 calories. 9000 steps and 30 minutes of weight lifting.
3/14: 222.5lbs. Normal weight fluctuations. I ate near maintenance level calories today, after factoring in exercise. I consider that a success since I ate at a Mexican restaurant where calories add up quickly!
3/15: 222.5lbs. Rest day/ no weight training. Walked 9000 steps and ate about 2100 calories.
3/16: 222.5lbs. 10000 steps and 40 minute workout. Ate about 2300 calories
3/17: 222 lbs. 12000 steps and 30 minutes workout. Consumed about 2200 calories for the day. I really need to decrease my calories to see better results, but I can't seem to get a proper mindset for a strict diet again. I'm working hard but not losing much weight. I'm getting stronger though, so that's a positive.

Back for my 4th round and 3 kgs down. Looking forward to getting in my 64’s by the end of this round.
Day/Weight/Comment
3/9 – 66kgs. Up today from 65.7kgs. Not sure why when I ate within my macro/calories yesterday, lifted and did C25K. Im thinking it might be from the frozen meal I had last night for dinner which contained a lot of sodium? Oh well I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing, and hopefully the weight will fall off still.
3/10 – did not weigh in, but I know I would be a lot heavier due to eating out Friday night! The food was amazing though
3/11 – 66.6kgs. Imagined what I would have been yesterday if I’m still bloated today…
3/12 – 66kgs. Coming back down, but still gotta aim to lose 1.3kgs in 6 days.
3/13 – 65.2kgs . Yes! The bloat is gone!. 500 grams to go.
3/14 – 65.2kgs. I’ve increased my macros/calories from today to accommodate how much I’m exercising. Hopefully that doesn’t slow down my weight loss though!
3/15 – 64.6kgs. Yes! Exceeded round goal by 100grams. So excited. I’m finally in my healthy weight range. It has been so long. New goal for end of this round: 64.4kgs.
3/16 – 64.9kgs. I was bad last night. Had a few extra chips and potato than I should have…That would explain why my weight went up a bit..Either way still below 65!
3/17 - 65.2kg. I snacked late last night on cheese, and crackers so I’m hoping this is just bloat . But I know now if I’ve been 64.6kgs that I can get back there!
3/18 - 65kgs. Could have ended the round better considering I was 64.6kg Few days ago but this is still good!!7 -

3/10- 96.8kg - bit of a tummy bug during the night so doubt this will stick!
3/11- 97.6kg - knew it wouldn't stick, but I did also end up eating 2 semlor and having a few glasses of wine so that will probably explain it! Buuuuut I have done 45 mins spinning plus a bit more cardio and a few weights today so should start heading down again tomorrow! (Fingers crossed!)
3/12- 97.4 - Spinning paying off! Had a big Saturday but gym yesterday and stick to plan for the week and the numbers should keep going down!
3/13- 97.5 - ugh... not good, half way and i've put on half the amount of weight i was aiming to lose! I have no idea... Under my calories... I even made an allowance for the treats I ended up eating while doing the budget! Got out for my run this morning though... Up at 6am and completed w4 d2 of couch to 5k... Head up and keep marching! Going to need to work hard for next 5 days to get to 96.5kg target!
3/14- 97.6 Seriously... Wtf... I don't understand this... I've been eating less, moving more and yet I'm not losing anything.... Really disappointed! Going to adjust my target to 97.0kg.
3/15- 97.6kg okay… Getting irritated now! There's gotta be a woosh coming right?! I'm eating at a deficit, sodium is low and I'm working hard on my fitness… hard not to get disheartened! Just keep the head up and keep looking towards the goal right?
3/16- 97.2kg It's moving…. Finally it's moving!
3/17- 96.6kg woohoosh! :-)
3/18- 97.1kg huge day yesterday…. Everything was under calories but huge amounts of sodium (sausages, bacon, ham) but it's a year till next st Patrick's day!

3/11 276.9 Not bad going to gym for light exercise day just going to be a boring sunday
3/12 275.9 Nice drop today always good when fluctuations are down not up will see if it maintains got my tough gym day
3/13 274.4 Another drop might be the scale I found place for it to live so not moving it around as much did strength day at gym and core workout and cardio so feeling good
3/14 273.6 Seem to be loosing fast this week I like it but a little concerning but will take it been eating a few exercise calories back also. Did good cardio workout today so still heading right direction.
3/15 273.3 Ate almost all calories back from exercise and I did a lot 3 mile hike and my regular cardio day. It's a rest day from the gym but going to be in 50s here versus 35 yesterday so going to do another hike in the afternoon.
3/16 274.1 Still happy last 2 days I figured was weird weigh ins so still on track for 10 days hitting the gym for cardio day and going to try and stay warm today
3/17 274.8 Still need to watch the food went a little high yesterday but did exercise a lot to "make" up for it
3/18 274.8 Meet and beat the GW (-3.4 lb from SW) Here I come round 359 -

R34 goal - under 136lb
3/09 - 140.30lb! Wow that must have been some meal on Wednesday evening! I know it was a larger than meal than I normally have and pasta, followed by a cheese board which I don't very often have but blimey - its hanging around!!! Another wait for a whoosh! Should all be ok today and Saturday but Sunday is Mothers Day here in the UK so hoping to not get chocolates! Nothing else in the diary for this round other than Mothers Day so my round target of under 136lb should be achievable.
3/10 - DNW
3/11 - DNW
3/12 - 143.20lb - not at all surprised! Ate out last Wednesday and again Friday, plus Mothers Day weekend so involved chocolates, a giant cookie, cakes and a "popcorn and sweets" movie night plus a lovely dinner yesterday with all the trimmings including wine! No tracking at all.... However doing these challenges I know that these sort of weight gains aren't real gains, and that once I am back tracking properly (which I am today!) the excess will soon come off again. Before I started losing weight a weekend like this would have meant I carried on eating horribly for days if not weeks - but knowing I can have a totally off piste few days and then get back on it and get straight back in control is a good feeling
3/13 - 141.50lb - 1.7lb off and on the way back down. Good food day yesterday and 12,000 steps, food all prepped for today and gym PT session tonight so tomorrows weigh in should be all good.....
3/14 - 140.4lb - another 1.1lb off my extended weekend excesses! Goes on so quick and easy but so much harder to get back down again. 4 days to go to the end of the round and not sure I'll be quite back to where I started!! But still planning, still tracking, gym last night, gym tomorrow so will get back there eventually (even if not by Sunday morning) - 4 days to go.....! Sometimes makes you wonder if the indulgence is worth it.....
3/15 - 139.40lb - 1lb more gone. Staying focused, good food day prepped today and gym tonight so hoping to see another drop tomorrow. 3 days till round end when I wanted to be under 136lb - hhmmmm with 3.50lb to meet that target, I may need to save that target for the next round!
3/16 - 138.80 - bit more off....
3/17 - DNW
3/18 - DNW
Sounds daft but I so often forget to weigh in weekends as hubby often brings me a cup of tea in bed whereas in the week I'm first up and get straight into the shower before eating or drinking anything! Anyway - on to the next round .....12 -
