Keto

I’m starting keto officially on 3/10/18
I stopped all grains on the 1st and am feeling way different already. I need ideas for maximizing weight loss.

To lose weight, you have to eat less. The less you eat, the more and faster you lose. But the less you eat, the more hungry, hangry, lethargic and ill you get, too. So you have to find a balance. MFP gave you a calorie target at startup. If you stick to that, consistently, for real, and for a long enough time, you'll lose weight, without any ill effects. Especially if you eat healthily. A healthy diet is a diet that provides you with all the nutrition you need. But even that isn't enough, because if you don't like the food you eat, you'll crave what you're used to, taste, mouthfeel and feeling in charge of your food choices, then you'll cave, and feel like you've failed, and eat more, and regain. So you have to find a balance. This is a more complex task, but also more exciting. Figuring out this stuff, is interesting and rewarding and challenging, it teaches you good habits for optimal health, and lasts for a lifetime. Going on a diet is temporary, frustrating, difficult, and you'll most likely regain. Don't go on a diet. Welcome to MFP :)

Hello and welcome! I suggest you check out the following low carb daily forum group. It's one of many LCHF/Keto friendly groups here in in MFP where most of us Ketophiles tend to hang out:
