mine typically consist of (this gives me two servings):

    1 cup of spinach
    1/2 cup of kale
    1 cup of frozen berries
    1 banana
    1 advocado
6 canned peach slices (I can my own, they're in a VERY light syrup)
water to thin to desired consistency

the fruit completely masks the taste of the greens, and the banana and advocado make is nice and creamy!

I drink a smoothie every morning, my go to green smoothie is

Handful of spinach, parsley, lemon, celery, something sweet (e.g peaches, apples, kiwi, strawberries etc), coconut water and chia/flax seeds. Blend until smooth and drink. It's really good.

Hmm, throwing in spinach seems popular. Is there any weird taste or consistency cuz of the spinach?

I'm a big fan of milkshakes, so my fave smoothie has always been:

    - a banana
    - cup of soymilk - I use Silk light vanilla
    - 1 tbsp peanut butter
    - 1/2 cup ice cream - I use the churned, no-sugar-added variety. Only adds 5 grams of sugar

It's absolutely delicious, and more importantly - still pretty healthy. 350'ish cals, 26 grams of sugar (mostly the banana) and a decent 15 grams of protein - more if you use real milk
  • I have extremely basic smoothies every morning - 1 or 2 types of frozen fruit, a banana, orange juice, and flaxseed. If I have spinach I add that too.
  • I get a general idea for my smoothies from http://simplegreensmoothies.com. They have some great ideas and a bunch of variety. To almost every smoothie, except ones I have used banana and pb, I add a few sprigs of mint and some lime juice. This combo makes it so refreshing. I just experiment with mine. Good luck. If you find any good combonations please share.

OMG! You are amazing, i am so loving this website. Normally ill just throw in a bunch of fruit and call it even but i am so trying out some of these new smoothies. Thanks!

    Half an apple
    1 cup almond milk
    1 scoop vanilla protein powder
    a few shakes of cinnamon

Blend and it tastes like the milk left over after a bowl of Apple Jacks.

Las night I made the s'more smoothie I had been dreaming about. It was good for a treat yet not too bad on the calories.

1 container Friendly Farms Whipped Chocolate Yogurt - frozen
    1.5 cups 2% milk
    1 scoop chocolate protein powder
    1 frozen banana
    2 Tbs marshmallow fluff
    2 graham crackers

I only ate/drank half of it and froze the other half for tonight so it was only about 600 cals.

The last one I made was a PB banana protein smoothie and it was really good! I blended 1/2 cup cottage cheese (gives it a really smooth and creamy consistency), small frozen banana, 3T PB2, 1 scoop vanilla protein, and a little ice and milk. Dashingdish.com has a bunch of protein smoothie recipes that are pretty good.

I'm don't think this is what you're looking for, but my daily morning smoothie:

    3 bananas
    2 cups of almond milk
    4 tbs almond butter
    1/2 cup of oats
    2 scoops of whey protein.

    1120 delicious calories

Geez!! Sounds yummy, but I may want to try this on a day that I think I won't want to eat anything else!!!

    1 banana
    1 peach
    2 tablespoon Greek yogurt
    2 cups spinach
    4oz any juice
    1 cup ice

You can replace the banana with half an avocado, or the spinach with kale, the peaches with strawberries or any other fruit.

I also like a smoothie with

    1 banana,
    1 orange
    2 sticks celery
    2 cups spinach
And equal parts juice and ice till its smooth and drinkable.

Sure thing. I love adding in bananas, strawberries, or blueberries in smoothies. Sometimes I'll just put in whatever fruit and blend away and cross my fingers that it taste good. But here's my all time favorite smoothie to make:

    1 scoop of chocolate Shakeology
    1TBS of peanut butter
    pieces of dark chocolate
    1 cup almond milk
    optional: banana or blueberries

Blend away and it's a reese's peanut butter cup in a drink.
    Enjoy!

    My fav smoothie:
    - 1 scoop vanilla whey protein
    - 1 banana (I usually keep them frozen)
    - 1 serving of dark chocolate dreams peanut butter
    - water and ice cubes

Sometimes I will not use the peanut butter and I will only use half a banana and use a serving of fresh/frozen berries.

keeping the banana frozen... good idea!

I like this one the best... but there is a combination of fruits and flavors we eat!

    I cup frozen blueberries
    1/2 banana
    1 cup almond milk
    1 tablespoon peanut butter
add ice or water to get the consistency you want! I like my as a frozen drink. You can also add in some protein or oatmeal/ Granola for some texture or filler!

My husband likes his with peaches and strawberries instead of blueberries!

I just mix a lot of fruits and veggies...

A handful of spinach, a leaf of cabbage, baby carrots, a little slice of ginger, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, a tsp or less of coconut oil, banana, half a yogurt, frozen cantaloupe, frozen honeydew, frozen pineaple, frozen watermelon and a little bit of either juice or water for a little liquid..mix in vitamix and enjoy......

Sometimes I mix in leftover oats, avocado, mango, berries, broccoli, etc...any food I would not mind including in a drink..

    My 'ultimate' green smoothie is:

    1x banana
    1x mango
1x scoop vega one - berry
1x scoop sunwarrior raw protein- vanilla
    1x tsp spirulina
    40g spinach
    40g kale
    30g broccoli
    Handful of alfalfa sprouts
    2 cups of ice

And then a fat source, I usually use one of avocado, linseed or coconut oil, but peanut butter also tastes great.
