Keto and code red

Anyone doing Keto or Code Red? I am losing inches but I’m anxious to get more in the next week. I’m thinking of cutting dairy completely for a week. Anyone have experiences to share?

OP, all you need to do to lose weight is eat less calories than you burn. You don't need to hand over that kind of money to charlatans who are going to blow hot air up your skirt. Plenty of people have succeeded using the tools available for free here on MFP.38 -

Damn another fad diet, you would think I have seen it all and then comes this...code Red. Just eat at a caloric deficit with a diet you can stick with instead of picking a diet with the fanciest name.19

Unless you have a medical condition preventing certain foods you don't need to restrict anything from your diet. The more you restrict, the less likely you are to make lifetime changes and the more likely you are put put that weight back on plus a bit extra.
You don't need to hand money over to any company for 'miraculous' weight loss results. Most of them are gimmicks at best and long term, the only thing you will lose is your cash.
To lose weight the only thing you need to do is burn more calories than you consume. The way you achieve this most successfully will vary from person to person but in the end it will always boil down to calories in verses calories out, even with any medical condition you may, or may not have as some conditions can affect your metabolism. This will just mean your calories out are atypical in comparison to the norm.11 -
I have done keto for most of the last few years. I do not follow a specific plan though. I just eliminate refined carbs and limit the rest. I've never heard of code red.

OP, I'm going to let you in on the secret to weight loss. It's not keto and it's not code red. It is:
calorie deficit. Eat fewer calories than you burn.
Now you have the secret. Not very sexy, I know. Won't sell any books or magazines. Or create buzzy blog posts. But here's the deal. It actually works.23 -
I’m on keto and I like it a lot. That Code Red thing just looks like somebody trying to sell hot air, so I’m going to add the caveat that if you do decide to do keto, don’t, like...buy anything. Except groceries.

When I looked for more details on this, I only got a message telling me I missed my chance to sign up and that I should give them my name and email address. So no, I can't try it for myself for free. If I want to find out more about the plan, I'm going to have to hand over a big chunk of money.

I know that this thread is old, but my mom has lost 70 lbs on Code Red Lifestyle since starting earlier this year. She didn't buy the custom program, just the $10 ebook. It works. There are simple rules to follow, like getting 8 hours of sleep, drinking a gallon of water, and eating basically keto. She has several friends who have lost a lot on Code Red as well. Just get the ebook and check it out for yourself.31

Looks like a standard whole foods diet to me. Reduced processed food. Something I already do. Don't like the idea of "free" foods. They are all calories. It can be hard to over eat on brocoli, but still has calories.4

You can get the code red lifestyle book on Amazon for 18$. Easiest way I’ve ever found to lose weight while still eating real food. It’s so far been a life changer for me.12

I am on Keto. If I feel like my weight loss is slowing, I implement intermittent fasting 16:8 at least 2-3 times a week. Basically, I'll eat between 6:30AM and 2:30PM (Keto) and be done eating for the day. Once keto adapted, the intermittant fasting is easy because your body has identified a different fuel source.10

To clarify my post. When I say intermittent fasting is easier, it is because my body HAS already identified another fuel source, and therefore I'm not craving carbs or feeling hungry while I'm fasting. You are correct, it doesn't work for everyone, and I'm not sure I implied it did. Our bodies are all different and we have to figure out what works for us. The original post asked for our experiences, and I shared mine and what was has worked for me.6 -

do you crave carbs the other days you dont fast? the keto is most likely the reason you arent craving carbs as its reported by most who do keto that the carb cravings have slowed down/went away. IF is just a window of time in which you eat your meals. if it works for you great..Ive done IF for more than 3 decades and still do it because it works with my eating schedule1 -
