Where to go from here

I have lost 30 lbs and am 1 lb from goal. Stats: 5'6" 136 lbs. 64 years old. Height & weight puts me right in the middle of the weight charts. I still see some fat on my stomach, hips and thighs areas. Should I lose more or how should I proceed?

First of all, congrats! Only you can decide whether to keep losing. As long as you do it slowly and healthily, there is no harm. But focusing more on exercise and lifting might give you the results you want?

Yeah, I mean it's kind of up to you. You can try losing a few more lbs and see if it comes off of where you want it to come off. Or you can switch your calories to maintenance and focus on strength training and see if the changes in body comp over time will fix the areas you're still not happy with yet. Congrats!

Thank you for the encouraging words :) I know close to nothing about weight lifting. I live in a rural area and it's not very time or cost effective for me to join a gym. We do have a small town walking track nearby that I've been utilizing and I do have some free weights at home, but don't really know how to best (and safely) use them. Would it be prudent to just go by online videos?

There are several beginner programs in this link that may be of interest.
