I decided to start the 100 squats a day for 30 days challenge. Because I’m a go getter, I’m adding in push ups and sit ups as well. Anyone want to join? I’m starting today. I’m going to do before and after measurements as well.
Also, if you need to do push ups on your knees or assisted on an exercise ball, that is ok. As long as you are able to do regular push ups by the end of the month.

Good morning! Day two of the challenge. I know my legs are a little sore today, how about yours? If you are wondering how to stretch your quads, the pigeon pose works wonders for that. Get them stretched out this morning before exercising to make sure you don’t hurt yourselves. Good luck on day two! We got this!

Mostly my arms from the push ups yesterday... 20% done with today's, rest will have to wait until after work. And we will probably do sit ups and push ups (and maybe squats) at martial arts tonight so I can add those in. And then Wednesday I will really be kicking myself XD

My legs are okay, I'm mostly feeling it in my arms, upper body is definitely my weakness! Day two is done, sit ups, squats and push ups are a good way to break up a study day!

I think you’re ahead of the curve today Elfinnyx! I’m not too far behind, but I won’t be finishing sit ups and push ups until tonight. Great job on being a go getter this morning!

    Day 2 done :)
My abs and arms were a bit sore today after yesterday's challenge, it felt good because it's been a while since I felt sore after a workout, I tend to think if it feels a little sore afterwards then it's working... did the 100 Press-ups and my 7 yr old son joined me (he is so much better at Press-ups than me) I added a 30lb kettlebell to my squats (really got the heart-rate going) and did a plank (4mins 28secs) 50 leg lifts and 30 oblique twists instead of sit-ups

I'm down! That is a lot of pushups - but, I'll do it!

Day three! I know my legs are sore. The squats are what’s killing me in this challenge. I hope you are all ready for 100 more of each!

Day three done! I found push-ups easier today, I think maybe my body has remembered what they are! Admittedly I’m still doing them on my knees, I’m going to build up to 100 full pushups, aiming for 5 tomorrow. I do Pilates sit-ups because I feel it more in my abs and it’s less strain on my back.... I was feeling my abs this morning after yesterday’s challenge and gym session!

Jibeirish, that’s an impressive plank time!

Thank you @Elfinnyx it's taken ALOT of practice to get that time

Day 3 done! My arms are dead from all these push ups but I am improving I managed 30 full push ups today the rest were done from my knees, my upper body strength is getting better slowly but surely.

I would love to join. I will do 100 pushups on my knees. I know that there are different ways to place your hands in order to reach certain muscles; I'll have to look them up.

Awesome job on planks! I agree!
I can do one minute or a little over that. It took me a month to work up.

Yay day 3 done! Can't wait to see how many good push ups I can do by the end! Right now I can do between 30 to 40 good ones before dropping to my knees.

Day four is here! I will admit, I didn’t get all my squats done yesterday. My quads were way too sore. But I put in a 3 mile run to help loosen the muscles up and today they feel much better when doing squats. Remember when doing squats, you want your thighs to be parallel to the floor, your knees at a 90 degree angle. Try to work ok doing the perfect squat and not just getting your numbers in. Your muscles will improve better that way. I got to 70 yesterday before I had to throw in the towel. I got all my sit ups and push ups done. I do my push ups on the ball still, but I’ve moved to having the ball at my knees.
@jiberish great job on the planks! If people want to try different exercises for sit ups, feel free. I’d say a 30-60 second plank (depending on your current physical level) would count as a sit up.
Good luck today and keep moving if you are finding it difficult to meet your numbers.

50% done day 4. It is really challenging to do push ups with a dog looping under your arms and licking your face.

I understand that all too well. I have three cats, one which is still a kitten, and they always want to “help” me exercise.

Yay day 4 is done! I managed 5 good push ups before dropping to my knees today, going to go for 10 tomorrow. I'm quite amazed at how much better my form is only 4 days in, I guess it must be to do with believing that I can do it, I can't have got that much stronger that quickly.

@Sarahr73 You're totally right about getting the squat right being more important than the numbers and 70 squats is still impressive!

Thank you, Elfinnyx. I was able to get in 80 today. My muscles got too overworked so they’re still healing a bit. I think form is more important for all the exercises. I’ve been doing inverted push ups on the exercise ball and I’m also surprised at how well my form has improved in the last four days. I can now pump out 25 in a row before I need a break. I am jealous that you can do five good push ups military style. I will get there some day, but it might another week!

Finished. My arms were rebelling. Pushups got pretty sloppy towards the end. But squats and sit ups went well. Lol Sarah, cats love to be in the way.

I'm on Day 1 - 30 pushups on my knees. I may have to work up. My wrists were hurting. I'll keep trying.

@Sarahr73 - 25 of any sort of push ups in a row is amazing! At the moment I've been doing sets of 10, any more than that and my form starts getting sloppy.
@JulieAL1969 - Well done for getting the 30 done. Sometimes it helps warming up your wrists first and experimenting with hand positions, it's taken me a while to find something that works.

Day 5 complete, I managed 10 full push-ups today, in sets of 5 and the other 90 on my knees. Progress is happening.
