OMG THANK YOU! @chissmichi just keep experimenting. We can only give what we think is advice. Good luck to you3 -
I have learned when my body stops burning calories its because I have had too much exercise so I take a day or two off. I also fast, for 18hrs or 24hrs. This helps my body to wake it up! for me and only me that is why I do the 2weeks on and 2weeks off soups it flushes out all the unused foods.
When the food is swallowed, it enters the esophagus to the stomach. The small intestine digests and absorption. The pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and the small intestine combine juices to break down nutrients to be absorbed.
The food can be broken down into very small molecules like protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, and fats.
Three Macronutrients and Energy Density
Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms
Enzymes, hormones, building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.
When Fire was created it changed the molecules and dripping fat was created, making it easy to digest, They then tried fruits, nuts, plants, roots and the list is long including bark. They found by making a Liquid (Soups) it was easy to digest. Because I have started this; this year my own body is healing it self. Your body needs to flush out the hard food that it can NOT Digest! Once you get it out of your body it allows the Healthy foods to start working.
Example: If a person went on a diet, and ate all the veggies, fruits etc. But then 3 days later ate fast food, The body is now going to have to Fight to digest this. Then the next day one eats all the veggies and fruits etc. to only this time go out to dinner. Now the Body has to Fight again to digest this food. Why! All the preservative is a substance or a chemical, it has been tampered with in one way or another with added salt, sugars, chemical biproducts. The food is NOT HEALTHY! So the body has a hard time breaking it down.
Please forgive me but it has taken me 57yrs of eating all the wrong foods to finally in the last year figure this out.
Our body needs to flush out foods- to eliminate and what is left behind. So it goes to our brains, Fat is a Number one Gift to a Brain it keeps it healthy!

This is all so very wrong and the real definition of woo.16 -
As others have said, your logging needs to tighten up.
Food scale, weigh everything but liquids.
No more quick adds, even if you have to guesstimate a little because of eating out or whatever.. better to do that or use the restaurant's website nutrition info than to just throw a number in there.1 -

Pretty much the only thing factually correct in that entire post is that fire was discovered at some point in the history of mankind.27 -

So for 57 years you had "unflushed" food in your system? The average person eats over 20,000 meals in 20 years. If even an ounce of food from each meal was "unflushed" you would weight over 1200 lbs in just those 20 years.
There was next to nothing right in that post. I picked this reply because it was easy math against an outlandish claim.11 -
I love it: MyFitnessEnemies! This and the body flushing is entertaining. (No offense to anyone, I'm just having a good laugh).1

I found this to be a very interesting video about weighing food.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjKPIcI51lU
Wow! That was eye-opening! I did a year or so of weighing, but now I've been eye-balling and I'm guessing that I'm over more often than not. Not by a lot, but as he said, "It adds up over the course of the day." Might be better to over-estimate those times I have to guesstimate.

1) There is no consistency in your diet. You are doing a lot of quick adds. I'm not sure what that means other than you don't know what or how much you ate so you are guesstimating.
2) You are "pre-diabetic" but you are consuming a lot of carb-laden foods. Lots of rice, bread, and sweets are not helping you. I would lower your carb count and get the majority of your carbs from veggies.
3) I think your fat goal is pretty good but your protein is pretty low again for someone who is pre-diabetic. Try to be between .8-1g protein per pound of weight. That puts you around 166-208g of protein.
4) If you are not weighing your foods you are only cheating yourself.
5) I would eliminate the majority of your "cheat" days.
As someone who is insulin resistant and has had success, those are the things that I would suggest. Try tweaking your diet a little and see what happens.
I have no big argument with the 0.8-1.0 multiplier, but it's not necessary to base it on current weight if overweight/obese. Personally, I'd argue for 0.6-0.8g per pound of healthy goal weight, or 0.8-1.0g per pound of lean body mass (the two end up close enough to the same number for most people). OP's current goal of 116g meets that, generously.
We don't need protein to maintain our fat; it's used for maintaining lean tissue. Setting protein based on an obese or overweight current weight is an unnecessary complication, especially for a petite-height woman who's already trying to comply with a low calorie goal. 208g of protein is 832 calories of protein, over half of the OP's base daily calorie goal. Extra protein isn't harmful to a healthy person, but it's not necessary.7 -

It's up to 13 woos now. I did not push that button. I suggest your use of the phrase "macro ratio" in the first sentence triggered most of them. That's an advanced topic and this is a beginner discussion.
Saying someone’s fat is too high compared to their carb intake is woo because macro balances are individual. I get 50% of my calories on average from fat. It works for me.2
