Bad News/ Good News

I thought this could be a fun idea to help us see the silver lining of our situation when things don't seem to be going well. This is a little story that happened to me recently.
The bad news:
I over ate this weekend. I wasn't really planning on it but it just sort of happened. I served myself what seemed like a smaller then normal portion for myself. The food was delicious and while my stomach was satisfied, my mouth demanded another taste. I had a small amount of seconds. 1/2hour later I was sitting there almost feeling stuffed to the brim. I was sort of kicking myself for not stopping sooner as I ate until I felt sick. Whoops. This is after vowing to myself the last time I ate myself sick that I was never going to eat that much again! So why did I allow it to happen this time?
The good news:
After thinking about the "why" behind this overeating spell, I realized each time it has happened has been with less and less food. I have overall been pretty good about not overeating terribly on a consistent basis since the beginning of the year. Sometimes though I'm not always successful. But as I go through my journey I feel like I my limits are changing. So when I do this to myself I realize I have a new threshold each time for what too much food looks like for me. The good news is I fill up on less food then I used to. The good news is that I can use this overeating episode as a learning experience. (probably the next one too, lol)
Does anyone else have any stories they would like to share? We all fall off the bandwagon sometimes, but I think something good can come out of each stumble and fall. After all, it's how we learn right?

Bad news: my boss was in town last week, so it meant wall to wall meetings (so no time for my normal walks), lunches and dinners out, copious amounts of booze and increased stress (both from being out of my routine and having a thousand things thrown at me)
Good news: I said I would give myself a break and get back into it today...and I did. I’ve had this before where I was losing weight then would fall off track for a week or whatever and swear I’d get right back to it, and I never did....but this time I did. All in all very little damage done and proof to myself that I can pick t right back up if I get off track.7 -
@rj0150684 That's amazing! Glad you were able to pick it back up!1

Bad news: I have to travel for work today and stay overnight. I have to eat out dinner/breakfast/lunch. I'm traveling with other people so packing food for those meals is awkward and I didn't do it. I have to make weight on Saturday for my powerlifting competition.
Good news: I don't know yet. But I'm hoping that posting here will make me more mindful and that I'll make good food choices.7 -
Here's one that just happened. I bought a new pair of shorts about 2-3 weeks ago. Since the sizes seem to run big, I had to exchange them once already. The new size was a perfect fit. (The good news)
The bad news?? Even though I'm only two pounds down since then, they are too big. I have to return and or exchange them a second time. I actually was able to stick my arm all the way down them.. Not sure what's going on there! I guess the other good news is that I can complain, lol.
@quiksylver296 How did you do on Saturday?
