Female Weight Loss Fluctuations

I think I’m seeing a trend with my downward weight loss and curious of others have something similar happen. I have fluctuations of 3-4 lbs all month(assuming due to water changes and bowel movements that aren’t super regular), but still show a tiny downward slide, then a big jump for a day or two after my period ends, which is typically where most of my weight loss seems to happen.
For instance prior to my period last month, I was 217lbs. I dropped a little for a week, down to about 215, then was around 213-214 during my period. My period ended and I was 209 all of sudden. I’ve been hovering between 208 and 210 for about a week or so now and I start in a few days. The overall 4 week trend was right at my 2lbs a week target. I am quite interested to see if there is another big drop late next week when my next period ends. (My scale does other metrics, so daily weight fluctuations are kinda fun to analyze, especially because my body fat percentage seems to be more steady in the downward slide and I’m honestly happier to see the 2% loss in body fat and almost 1.5% increase in muscle mass this month than the rest. That means all my gym work is paying off.)
Just wondering if other ladies see this kind of hover, then drop downward trend based on the time of the month.

If you do a search for TOM you'll find literally hundreds of threads. Each woman's rhythm is slightly different, but the tale is the same.
For me, it was 2Lbs up before and during ovulation, then down 3Lbs right after. Then 3Lbs up right before my period, and then 4Lbsish right after my period ended. With small but steady losses in between those two activities.
We tend to hold a few pounds of water while we're ovulating and during our periods, which sort of "masks" weight loss, and then it all goes and we see the weight we were losing gone too.3 -

I agree 100% with Sabine, but would also add that the scales estimates of fat/water/lean weight typically aren't very accurate, so can mislead. I agree that they're interesting, but I wouldn't take them as gospel.0 -
