Hi all,

I have a question. Should I regularly redo my Bmr, rmr and TDEE calculations every once in a while? Say, every 10-14 lbs lost?
The reason I ask, is that mfp obviously sets your calorific intake based on your stats, ie, height, weight etc.
Any views and opinions on this?

Every 10 pounds is a good place. For those who are following MFP's goals, it will prompt them to re-update their calories if they haven't done so in the past 10 pounds lost.

I think this is only true if you use the check in tab periodically. So if you use a scale that auto-updates mfp, it might be necessary to do it manually.

I hadn’t even considered this! For some reason I was thinking that goals would automatically adjust, so this is super helpful.

Me, too. If I'm logging my weight here, why wouldn't it automatically adjust?

I've only had it automatically adjust a few times and only if I update my weight on the app on my phone. If I do it on the PC, it never automatically adjusts (though it probably should).

Just go to My Home, Goals and choose the View Guided Setup and click save (or adjust whatever you want if you want different percentages) and it should update your new caloric goal.
