Difficulty in Structuring a Workout Programme

Hiya guys, I workout doing a mixture of cardio and strength activities, however at the moment I feel like my routine is all over the place. The fact that I have no real structure to what I'm doing makes it much easier for me to forgo the gym for a week.
At the moment I can't really afford a personal trainer, but I'm having difficulty in finding the best way to create an effective workout programme.
My current goals are to lose approx. 10 pounds and improve my strength and endurance.
Thanks in advance!

Why not find a program and stick to it? There's a thread in the bodybuilding/weight gain section on professionally planned training programs (free) which may be helpful....2

The first thing a trainer would do is question you in far more detail.
Maybe volunteer a lot more about yourself because no-one knows anything about you.
(e.g. if I said I wanted to "improve my endurance" that would be in context of me already cycling c. 35 hours a month so what I would need to do would likely be very different to what you need to do/should do.)
If you are a beginner (are you?) you would be much better advised to pick a suitable program rather than design your own.
PS - weight loss is very little to do with your exercise choices and is also contrary to how this site is designed to be used, it's your calorie deficit that sheds the pounds.1 -
When you talk about your routine, what exactly do you mean? Are you talking about what you do when lifting weights or doing other strength-oriented activities? Or do you mean your overall week and what you do on what day, as in how many days you do cardio vs how many days you strength train?0

Pick a lifting programme 2-3 x a week, do some cardio you like 2-3 x a week.
