Question about the amount of exercise per week/type exe-TIA

Hi

44/female/5'8
current weight:151
goal:140

I work out at home
videos..yoga and weights/strength training (3-5 pound weights and ankle weights)

I hate cardio
I have a treadmill and elliptical at home
but mostly only cardio is lots of walking/being on my feet constantly..running around w 2 kids

Initially, I was working out about an hour a day
But with my crazy schedule, i had to skip days..so I was working out 2 hours, every other day
does it matter?
as long as I work out say 6 hours a week? how it's broken up?

I would like to appear leaner/tighter :)
