There are a few TDEE keto macro calculators that you could try to use:

    https://www.ruled.me/keto-calculator/

    https://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/

You want protein to be more than the minimum, which is often said to be 0.36 g per pound; often 2 to 3 times as much. (Often 70 to 150 g, or 280 kcal to 600kcal... There's 4 kcal per gram protein.) Often 15-30%.

Carbs are usually under 20-50g or 80-200 kcal. Between 0 and 10-15%.

    Fat is the rest.

Your macro percentages will depend on how much you eat, and how much protein and carbs you choose. For example, 100g of protein is 400 kcal. If you eat 1200 kcal a day, that amount of protein would about 30%. If you eat 2000 kcal a day, then that amount of protein would be 20%.

    Good luck!

Timely post, I am haphazardly embarking on a Keto diet. Been 4 days trying to stay under 20 grams of carbs. Been doing low carb for a month, basically avoided bread. I suspect I am pre diabetic and that is why I am on this path. I have noticed lately that I have an enhanced taste buds or something, things are just filled with more taste.

Thanks for the links nvmomketo, I have been watching a lot of youtube videos, really like keto connect.

These are links are MFP low carber daily and keto groups that you could find helpful too. The LCD group has a great launch pad for newbies.

Hi! I use the keto diet app, and also the carb manager app. It helps you figure out how much fat/proteins you should be consuming to get to your goal! It works wonders, I’ve been on keto diet for 3 weeks now and down 12lbs!

My diary is open. Feel free to add me. I use MFP and subtract fiber from total carbs to aim for 20 net carbs a day. I chose my macros based on a combo of the KetoGains.com rec for macro split and previous knowledge from past experiences of what calories-per-day to shoot for.

I'm Keto feel free to add me. I got my macros from ruledme.com when I first started I used carb manager to enter my food now that I know what I am doing, I'm back to MFP I just deduct the fiber to get my net carbs. I like the community better here.

Cool beans! I have been doing Keto for a little bit (several months) and am now hard core since I stopped power lifting. From Roanoke, huh? Too funny. So am I . Down in Winston-Salem, NC now. Used to go to the Planet Fitness at Towers when I am up there on business and/or the Workout Anytime at Ridgewood (off of Electric - near the Kroger).

Tell everyone in Roanoke that I said "Howdy! Howdy! Howdy!".....

    Enjoy.

Keto is - for me - a lifestyle. How long you been doing Keto? And, you like the community here? I find - and this is a very very very general statement - that there are a lot of anti-keto folks here. Naturally, the LC Group and the two Keto Groups are more "understanding".

I mean, I do get it - Keto is VERY restrictive. I do Keto because I have high A1C so it totally makes sense, from a health perspective. Not everyone can cut out carbs (assuming 'strict' Keto....or something similar).

I love the foods that I eat and while I do love carbs (oh....PASTA!!!!!!) they do not love me back. I can not complain. Not one bit.

Hey, if you do not mind me asking.....

Lots of good replies so far.

Is there a medical reason | health reason for doing Keto? I am a huge fan of this lifestyle, but it is not for everyone. Have you done research on this? Are you aware of the Keto Flu and how to avoid it (Electrolytes - aka, sodium, potassium and magnesium)?

You can use MFP to get your macros (based on a %) but you would have to manually do this.....I am using 75% Fats, 20% Proteins and 5% Carbs. This is what I am doing.....others might start a little lower (in the Fats department) and start around 60% or so.

There are also two groups that might be of interest to you....I will get those links for you.

And, I realize that I am not answering the question that you directly asked. So, please forgive me just kinda jumping all over the place. Generally speaking, or so it seems, a good number of people do not know about the Keto Flu (and what to do to mitigate it) and once the Keto Flu catches them they quit this (and I can not say that I blame them.....well, to a point)....

    More details to follow.

More power to you, sister! I really enjoy this life style (that is what it is for me...) and now that I am not doing powerlifting am full board keto. Powerlifting on keto sucks big time! Anyway, it is amazing how carbs creep into our nutrition. I have been pretty fortunate in that I am a creature of habit and can eat the same seven or eight things forever....so, I find what I like and stick to that. Been loving salads with Avocados and Blue Cheese Dressing, Bulletproof coffee, all of the great rich butters (Kerry's Gold from Trader Joes - that is where I get it here in Winston-Salem, NC - is so awesome....) and eggs and bacon every day (well, almost everyday).

In the "Fitness Youtube" space I have been watching Jason Wittrock.....he might be someone to follow (for you).

Also, you might want to look at the two groups that I mentioned about 10 minutes ago....

    Good luck!
