    I just started so I've been trying to find that amount...I had been maintaining for about a week before this week

    Yes the past week and a half I was maintaining and was getting ready to increase calories after this week but then these past few days I've been gaining like crazy lol haven't changed the diet at all I eat pretty much the same each day

    Nope everything has stayed pretty consistent with what I had been doing

    It's the first week of summer, even if you didn't eat differently, did you go to any picnics or BBQs? Family outing? Beach trip? sun exposure even without a burn can increase water retention.

    i know fluctuations are normal but if i fluctuated up like that I'd just take it no questions asked and assume I'm beefing up.

    But should I cut my calories down?

    It looks like water weight. But you are trying to gain anyways right? I'd give it another week and see what happens and adjust from there

    Another question. Should I just worry about hitting my protein or should I worry about fats too? I've read about .4 g/ lb. But if I go over it doesn't matter correct?

    worry about getting the right balance, there are so many factors.
    Not been helpful in guidance, I'm still trying to get that balance.

    Protein and fat is usually a minimum for me. Mind you I try not to eat so much fat that it crowds out my carbs during a bulk.
