Success/struggles of the week: This past week I really had to just trust that I was at maintenance. My weight jumped up on Tuesday to 121.4 and stayed between 120 and 121.4 most of the week. I think it was mostly inflammation from a shingles vaccine. Plus we ate out a lot this week too. But I tried to trust that I was not really overeating and over the weekend the weight settled back down. I've got my family reunion this weekend so I'm sure there will be more snacking and alcohol than usual. I will just have to trust that I can have an overindulgent couple of days here and there and it is not going to ruin all of my progress.6 -

Success/struggles of the week: I did get 10K steps every day, and 8 days was the biggest streak so far for me. Got in an emotional tangle that affected my workout motivation and had a total food blowout from Saturday night through Sunday which I have not yet logged. Working on no guilting myself over food, cause that's counterproductive.4 -

Success/ struggles of the week/ month (since I'm not posting weekly): great week for me, beautiful weekend with my daughter (weekend before), this weekend was much quieter, spent with PIL and my wife, of course. So lovely. Had a pretty diverse brunch on Sunday, could not pass on desert, enjoyed every bite of that huge piece of chocolate cake, lol.6 -

Success/struggles of the week: So I have aggressively gone back to logging my food, paying attention to what I'm eating, and (this just works for me -- so I offer it here) waiting 14-16 hours before "breaking fast" in the morning from when I finished eating the night before. I swear it works -- and my numbers are dropping! I was 125 one year ago, and here I am at 128 this morning. Feeling really good about that! Struggles coming up are that my son and his girlfriend are coming home this weekend -- he already has asked me to make him brownies and apple pie -- and then we are all going on vacation for a week --even the new pup gets to go! Pancakes in the morning and ice cream every evening. Happily, in between, there will be LOTS of swimming and walking and (now) playing with the pup! I'll see you guys in a couple of weeks!6 -

I know we are not supposed to compare ourselves with others, but I look for stats and posts from women my height with not a tremedous amount to lose. I am so very awestruck and full of admiration for people who lose 50, 100 plus, pounds!
I am 60 years old (so, yeah, 12 years older than you), 5'8" tall, and size 10 pants fit nicely, and I started at 167 in November 2017. My weight does not want to budge below 155, despite my committed efforts. I can't even imagine weighing in the 140's, let alone 130's! But, all things considered, I don't look half-bad, and I feel great, just lugging around more weight in the middle than I'd like to.

Update 24th: Still learning how my body responds to overages in maintenance. Had a pretty active day yesterday and bam, weight back to 126.0. While losing I was accustomed to those bounces, knew it was just "used food" I was carrying around etc, but somehow in maintenance that 2 pounds up is terrifying. There's no reason for it to be ... even if it WAS all fat, I KNOW WHAT TO DO.2 -

I am late posting this week!
Struggling with sugar. This usually means I am not getting enough sleep. Normally, the availability of sugary foods in the house is limited, but this week there seems to be a lot around the kitchen.
Success: I am exercising a lot. I feel so much better emotionally and physically after a workout.6 -

Successes/struggles of the week: My normal meals felt very boring to me this week for some reason, which then led me to make some bad decisions at the CVS next door to my job. So I just started maintenance when I hit the mid-point of my goal weight range about three weeks ago. I just found this thread, so I'll join in. I have been participating in some "lose X by Y" challenges, but now that I am not trying to lose, it's time to find a new challenge. I plan to continue the challenges I'm already signed up for, but I don't plan to sign up for any more of those. Thanks for keeping this one going.
While I know my body fat estimating scale is probably horribly inaccurate, I still think I need to do some recomposition to oxidize stored fat and build some more lean mass. At my age, I know it won't be so easy, and it will take a while. That's ok. This isn't a short race; I'm in it for the long term.

Success: 27 mile bike ride today
Struggles: For the first time since I started maintenance, I'm over my maintenance range. I know it's just water, I went camping for 3 days this week and came back 4 lbs heavier than when I left, and I know it will come off in it's own time, but it was hard to step on the scale and see that number even after being back 2 days. This is actually a good challenge, because I'll have to learn to deal with fluctuations in weight, both water and fat, lapses in my routine and emotional issues as I go along, so focusing on the big picture and moving on

Success/struggles of the week: I had my family reunion this weekend. I thought my weight would be up, but it was so hot that overeating really wasn't an issue. Success & Struggles: Toe still mending but thank heavens the Texas temperature has dropped some. Will soon think about walking again.
Like Sofchak I am struggling with feeling bored with my regular foods and making some poor choices.
I am eating way too much fruit, once I start, it is hard to stop. I am also craving crunchy carbs too. (But have only rice cakes regularly in the house that qualify as crunchy carbs.). I’m doing ok during the day and at work, but once I get home I am ravenous especially for fruit and crunchy carbs.
My new schedule (since the start of June I work 12 to 8pm) at work has completely disrupted my established eating habits and routine and I’m struggling. Because I work until 8pm, I really wanted a routine that would give me a small snack (preferably protein) at night.
No real successes at this time except that the scale and eating habits are not reflected in my clothes which are fitting just fine.

My goal is to be able to have my fav snacks but in sensible portion sizes, so it wouldn't put me over my maintenance. The challenge is to stop in time.4 -
