Round 46 (1) SW 307.2 GW 303.0 UGW 175.0
I have lost the same four pounds between 307 and 303 at least six times. How silly is that? Last time down these pounds....go away 307.....
Day/Weight/Comment
7/07 308.2 Ack!!! I said I wanted to be out of the 307 number but I didn't mean 308. Good grief.
7/08 308.0 Almost back to 307s. Looking for consistency in eating. Logging but need to find a way to stay busier on weekends so I'm not finding extra calories to consume. Big change coming.
7/09 308.0 I think my scale is broken Doctor appt on Friday to show progress. Let's get off to a good start this week. Keep up the great work everyone.
7/10 305.2 Ok, going the right direction. Past 307 and 306 back to 305. Now to focus on 304. Much better day of eating yesterday. Weekends at home are tough -- too many options.

Round goals: consistently hit protein goal for macros and get used to logging again.
Day/Weight/BF%/Comment
7/07 225.9/42.2%/let's do this.
7/08 223.5/41.8%/ MFP calories are too low if this is from day 1, I overate by 600 calories, had a glass of wine and I still lost like this. Hit the macro percentages though. Am going to hold the cals at 1800 (not 1200) and see if that was a fluke. I have essentially been on a 3 year refeed, lol, and I although I do want this weight off and am mentally ready to do it now, I do not want to blow up my metabolism for the umpteen millionth time by crashing my way through it. Went on a 5.65 mile hike/walk/run today with the dogs, because I like doing it. Aside from the stuff I like to do, I am really going to try hard to make this about the diet and doing as little as I can to get the scale to keep going in the right direction. It is going to be a long road, 10 days at a time (maybe even one day and one meal at a time), but um, heck yeah, I am excited about how things have started. Yay for newbie gains and trying not to be an idiot.
7/09 227.3/42.8%/😡 going to throw my scale out the window if it doesn't start making sense. Going to try to keep hitting my macros though.
7/10 224.0/42.3%/😏 I told that scale who's boss! Stayed within my cals. Only 5% off on macro splits, but close enough. I weighed in at 227.9 on 7/4, which is (in part) what prompted my return to logging and daily weighing. Maybe these wild fluctuations are just my thing for now? As long as the daily average goes down over time.

7/07 - 163 - I'm glad I didn't bump up from yesterday's weight. Now let's see if I can get through this plateau in the next 10 days.
7/08 - 161.5 - I know this won't last, but it sure is nice to see!
7/09 - 161 - Whoa, was not expecting this!
7/10 - 160.5 - So I bounced between 163 and 165 for 3 weeks while sticking to my calorie goals. Either I've smashed through my plateau or my scales need a new battery.

7/07- 231.4 Pleasantly surprised I’m holding steady from yesterday. NSV- Did great at the wedding. Was careful how much I ate for dinner and ate enough of the cake to appreciate the taste of it. Saw an acquaintance I hadn’t seen in 2 months and she told me I was looking good. She’s very PC so she wouldn’t come straight out and say “You’ve lost some weight.” Nice way to start the round.
7/08- 231.8 No explanation for the bump except maybe some GI issues. Good food day yesterday. Family event today = loads of food. Aiming for good food choices.
7/09- 232.4 my scale seems to like this number. Disheartened that the numbers are going the wrong way. I did everything I was supposed to do this weekend. I was especially proud since I had two social events and I felt I did well at both.
7/10- 231.4 I feel like the scale and I are subjects of a Katy Perry song. At least it’s down to this round’s SW... for now.

I'll take it and be happy for today but not sure how accurate it is. Going to the lake today so I will have to be very mindful of what I'm eating and to make sure I'm continuously drinking my water. I tend to snack on everything at the lake and slack on water, got to change that habit.
7/08 - Camping, no weigh in.

7/10 - 152.4 - Hoping for a drop soon, scale first showed 151.4 and I got really excited but the next two times it showed 152.4 so that's probably more accurate to what my weight is. Got a morning and evening workout in yesterday, doing 2 different challenges. 30 Day Challenge and an 8 Week Challenge, looking forward to seeing some results.

weight on 1/29/18 = 234.5
Round 46 goal. Loose the 4 pounds I gained over the holiday and catering dinners for friends and family this entire week.
7/9 – 194lbs – its been a long week of binging on adult beverages and Unlimited meals, managed to stay under my goal of 199 but would like to get back to averaging 189. Will be eating the same lunch the rest of the week to try and loose 5 pounds.
7/10 – 194lbs – needed to stay out of the house till 9pm last night. Ate 2 giant burgers because the second one was half off. Also drinks were cheap. Loved the good food but had way to much for any loss the next couple days.

July is the month that I will assess what foods I can eat, once in a whi!e, outside of keto. I do not expect any loss of weight. If I eat something that makes me gain or not feel well, then "OFF WITH ITS HEAD! Lol, no, but definitely off of my foods list.

•7/10 - 192 - A normal high carb day for me on keto yesterday, 44g, 41 net. Salad greens, lime juice for my water, salsa and a few tablespoons of crispy red peppers as a salad topping.

7/7 186.6 lbs worked out in the morning but went out for drinks that night
7/8 woke up late and forgot to weigh myself, I feel like your true weight is only in the mornings, so I let it go and did bad the rest of the day. (Not a good idea but I'll pay for it in tomorrow's weigh in.)
7/9 187.6 smh a whole nother pound I have to get ride of now...I need to do better
7/10 the weekends always get me, I can control my portions better during the weekdays because of the routine..I got this
7/11 186.8 ok well I'm at least getting back to were I started. I watched my calories and did a small 10 min morning workout then an afternoon workout of Julian Michaels of 30 day shred. I love her workout videos, I am so feeling it this morning I'm so sore that I didn't even want to do my morning workout. I contemplated allot but decided to do it.

I've decided to pay more attention to my moving average weight rather than daily ups & downs, so that's what I'm reporting this round. Also reporting both daily calories & 10-day calorie averages, because I've found the averages mean more in terms of my weight trend, but I still like to see what the daily numbers are.
Goals:
Food ~~ 1330 net calories 10-day average; P 15-25%, C 35-50%, F 25-35%; mostly clean & healthful
Exercise: 60 minutes/day of walking/swimming + yoga/stretch class 3X/week
Weight ~~ looking for a steady or downward trend. Time is not an issue.

7/07 - 147.6 - 1645 - 10-day average 1250
I had a lovely day yesterday, and today promises more of the same. Temp in the low 80s and clear, so I went for a 4-mile walk on our beautiful Rivergreenway in the morning. Did some gardening in the afternoon, and then some housecleaning ( ) because we had friends over for dinner, which was lovely with the gorgeous long evening to sit outside and talk and watch the birds and eat a bit too much (but healthy!). I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
7/08 - 147.7 - 1377 - 10-day ave 1371
We're having a string of gorgeous days - temps in the 80s, brilliant blue skies.... I saw the results of Friday evening's splurge on the scale this morning, but I'm going with the averages, so not letting it stress me out. I worked in the garden for an hour last evening, moving and planting - there's nothing like playing with living color in the dirt to lift the spirits! Off for a walk in a few minutes. Have a lovely day, all!
7/09 - 147.7 - 1553 - 10-day ave 1412
7/10 - 147.8 - 1549 - 10-day ave 1420 - 7-day ave 1456
I didn't have a chance to check in yesterday so just added my data. Calculating averages has turned out to be really useful - I see a much clearer correlation between my 10-day (or 7-day) calorie average and my weight than between daily calorie fluctuations and weight. Since I'm using my moving weight average, changes aren't so startling, but in fact my weight this morning was 149, which makes sense since not just my daily calories but my calorie averages are up a little. So now I can make sensible adjustments. Oh, and I did splurge last night on a half cup of ice cream and had Mexican for lunch, so it all makes sense.

7/7 at 5:00 / 230.6 / Urk!
7/8 at 10:45 / 230.4 / Terrible eating. Too much running around. Too little drinking with too much salt. On the plus side, yesterday we went to NYC and saw the Statue of Liberty and were able to climb into the crown. Something like 350 steps from the ground to her crown, with the second half going up a tiny, twisting staircase. It was lots of fun and we all got a bit wobbly on the way down. I now have a really weird sunburn on a spot where I guess I missed putting on sunscreen.
7/9 at 8:00 / 229.4 / I had a much better eating day yesterday and drank lots of fluids. This week should be a very simple week. Fingers crossed!
7/10 at 6:15 / 229 / Good eating day yesterday. Today, I'm taking part in a challenge where my only drink is water. I don't know how capable I am of that! I love my Diet Coke! I hit my head really hard during my commute. I have a bit of a headache, but I think things are okay. I'm on a bit of high alert right now.

I ate some breakfast and made lunch and plan to bring snacks to a friend's this afternoon. Also got a big water bottle. Life is hectic right now but I'm happy in each moment while still looking forward to the future.
07/08 - Sunday - 197.2 - quick check in. going to look at a house. another crazy day and I'm grateful I can keep up!
07/09 - Monday - 197.0 - So we put in an offer on the house we looked at yesterday. Super exciting! Fingers crossed all day long to see if they accept. And the washing machine we were going to pick up was a bust. The day was nothing like I planned and we ate pizza for dinner - oh well! Today is well planned at this point - so we'll see how it goes This is a new week and I plan to get back to the basics - last week went a little off the rails, and I've got lots of things upcoming that could be excuses. I also realized I tend to go crazy in July and December - so I'm giving myself some grace rather than beating myself up for it and moving forward with baby steps! DH and I were talking this morning and realized we've made some huge changes in the past 3 years - quit drinking, quit smoking, started saving for a house, stopped going out every weekend. We made all those changes slowly, but deliberately. Reminding myself I AM CAPABLE if I just keep swimming.
07/10 - Tuesday - 195.8 - Nice! Busy as ever and incredibly prone to distraction today as we wait to hear if our offer was accepted. No breakfast smoothie, and no ice in my ice coffee this morning that is life these last few days but I'll make the best of it! I did manage to pack of few snacks at least and take meat out of the freezer to grill for dinner. Onward!

Checking in
SW 06/22/2018: 106.2
Goal weight: 103.8 # (or less )
Age: 47YO Female with Hypo.
07/10/2018: 104.0 - Not a bad day of eating but I did choose to have white sugar and ice cream. Both set me up for craving and caving in. I know my weight would have been lower had i chosen to have an apple or something 'sweet' that was NOT sugar. OR, just sitting in my discomfort and not having anything to eat at all. Sometimes I just need to sit through the discomfort <- This is my focus for this week. Yesterday I sat through the discomfort from after breakfast until 12:30pm THEN I ate. I wanted to nibble....but I didn't. #SoProud! and lunch was a salad, a healthy one with avocado as dressing. But, 30mins later I chose to go for a sweet something. I wasn't hungry but, I convinced myself to eat anyway. That was the mistake. Lesson : Next time, convince myself NOT to eat!
07/06/2018: 105.0
June Notes:
In June I had one day where I weighed in at 104.4. with this 10 day round, my goal is doable.
In June I realized that my habit of grabbing a protein bar is probably not serving me very well. While it tastes great, it is not satisfying a craving, I eat it because it tastes awesome. And when I finish the bar, I typically yearn for more. Thus, this bar is highly processed, right?!?! Because if it were a serving of snap peas...who'd be saying after 200 calories of them that they just wanted to eat 4 more servings. no one! So, I'm going to practice NOT having the bar. AND I'm going to practice having a 30min lunch window for eating so that I don't snack ALL afternoon.
I am monitoring my behaviors by writing down how I feel before I eat, after I eat and stuff like that.
+ How will this food make me feel
+ After I eat : What is my mood? My energy Level ? Cravings? hunger?
+ When I go to bed, will I be stressing about this food?
^^ I haven't been AS good on doing this daily but, I am doing it regularly.
^^ Working on CONVINCING myself that I'm happier, more joyful and feel amazing when I stick to my plan. I feel thinner when I have an amazing day. I am NOT going to throw in the towel because today I have stuck to my menu SO far and, i know I can make it ALL the WAY today and have an AMAZINGLY healthy day! I am less bloated, mentally more happy and my MOOD is a TON better without the NEGATIVE energy on processed foods!
OMG! I just noticed that I am ALMOST at my goal for this challenge!!!
10 -
am in. I have been very cognizant of my eating but not logging. Hopefully I will get it together. I am motivated. But as we all know it takes more than motivation. It takes using all the tools you have and dedication.

Age 60, 5'4.5" and eating in a livable way = It's. Not. A. Diet. I eat back exercise calories, or I would be starving and cranky. Hubby does not like cranky me. Changed MFP setting 5/5/18 [R39] to 1/2# per week loss ~ within 10# of UGW, weight loss had stalled 3 months + was feeling hungry more often.

7/07 160.2 Wow I am super stoked to start with this weight!! Finally got my parents home yesterday after a long 3 weeks of caregiving, celebrated last night with a cocktail, hot tub, time with my hubby and light dinner. I drank a lot of water yesterday and just snacked rather than my big salad, not meeting my macros but happy with this loss! Now to stay the course as I head into the weekend.
7/08 162.6 Cocktail and fried calamari, Fiber One bars give me a stomache ache, became a Granny to twins...tummy hurts still!! No more Fiber One for me, water before I eat, yardwork today. Tomorrow's weigh in will be great, I am sure of it!! I have lost almost 10 lbs and it really feels good. I lose the tummy bloat first and that's what makes me feel fat vs. thin, so success!
7/09 163.4 WEIGH IN DAY Well, this gain is expected after my indulgence the day before. It took 2 days to show up, since yesterday I was on plan. I am confident I will drop back down this week.

7/07 189.6 Can this be real? I worked hard at this yesterday to get this challenge off to a better start than the last. Over 10,000 steps. Intermittent fasted for 16:8 . 25 net carbs. 1269 calories. Now just to hang on……..
7/08 189.0…. Very pleased with progress. Now….Just to keep from sabotaging myself. Dr. Appointment tomorrow which is keeping me accountable. Hope I can hold it steady afterward…..
I walked nearly 13,000 steps yesterday including a planned 1 mile brisk walk just prior to dinner. I intermittent fasted 16:8. Liquids okay but could have been better. Battled some cravings late night, but got through it with a square of bitter 90% dark cacao chocolate. I tried hard to pretend it was milk chocolate or maybe a Milky Way but eh…….
7/09 188.4 Dr. Appointment later today so I wanted to be accountable. I walked over 16,000 steps yesterday and nearly 7 miles. Low on water due to work and being so busy. Followed my diet well and fought the late night cravings and urges to binge which I sometimes give in to. I intermittent fasted 16:8 which is not always easy for me. The doctor appt today kept me on track for sure!
7/10 187.4 Keep on keepin’ on. Walked over 10,000 steps. 16:8 Intermittent fast. Good water, tea and vinegar. Brisk 1.5 mile walk after dinner. Dr. & staff impressed with weight loss. Blood Pressure 112/77. All is well. Today is an out of town trip quite far from home. Due to being mainly carbound, I will not get in my steps and my diet will be off. We’ll see what tomorrow’s scales bring. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

@puttyputty If it helps any, I used to drink gallons of Diet Coke, Diet root beer, Diet tonic water.... About 3 years ago I read an article about how carbonation affects the body - increasing the risk of bone fracture, for one. Google "effects of carbonation on the body" and you'll find lots of info - here's one https://www.livestrong.com/article/429453-the-effects-of-carbonated-drinks-on-a-persons-body/
Anyway, I went pretty much cold turkey, and although many of the negative effects are long term (so benefits aren't be noticeable short term), I will tell you that within a week I felt generally better. Within a month the cravings were gone, and when I tried a Diet Coke about 3 months after quitting, it tasted TERRIBLE! So for almost three years I drink almost exclusively water, a couple of cups of coffee in the morning, herbal tea after lunch, and occasionally an iced decaf coffee in the evening. But water, with or without lime or lemon, is my pimary drink. An added bonus aside from health considerations is $$$$ saved! So think about what you're gaining, not what you're missing out on. Good luck!
