When to give away your kik?

Everyone here has made some good friends and I saw the trend of kik (chatting application) on MFP.So when do you all give your kik id to the other person so you can chat easily?
Or you just like to keep your friendships to this app?
How many days of messaging is enough for you to trust the other person, not necessarily of the opposite sex.
Or are you the one who just don’t make friends here and just log your exercises, foods and get back to work?

Are you looking to share recipes?5

Do what makes you comfortable and feels right. Sometimes communicating on MFP is challenging, and a medium such as kik, or other messaging app is easier and more immediate. But it's also opening oneself up to more things potentially.

I don't use kik but just wanted to say I would love to see some recipes from Pakistan! It's one of the fun things about the internet, learning new things about different parts of the world.3

If someone seems cool and we have messaged a bit then I will give it out. But, the minute someone asks for nudes then we won't be talking anymore.3

I met my wife on AOL. Back before online dating was even cool. Been married 17 years this year.3 -
I had kik once. But I caught virtual STDs from it so I had to delete.3

Not a fault of the app. It's just a tool to be used, like a hammer, shovel and bag of lye. Some want to chat, some want more. Nothing wrong with either, so long as everyone involved agrees to how they want to use it.1 -
I deleted Kik. I was naive when the first MFP person suggested it and I quickly figured out what people think if you even say you have a Kik. I decided to kick the people out of my life who were no good for me and get rid of multiple messaging apps.
Such a pure person, I'll just slide into your DMs on ChristianMingle now.5
