I can't wait till mine gets older so I can reap the benefits of it.

Nope. I would possibly but they would have to be awesome and without ulterior motives.

Not everyone does. Actually, I would venture to guess few actually do have ulterior motives. Most of the people I've met over the years, and various communities have been pretty standup individuals. We meet either as groups, or as individuals because of friendships made. Some might have had more than a friendship be made. But, those are few and far between from what I've seen.

    That is good to know.

    Drat!

    wait.

    ...... just how ulterior?

Ha. Any. Just be upfront. If a guy is just trying to bang, then tell me, and I will not want to meet.

I live with 3 people from this site. I did and do work with 2 others. Another couple are relatives not living with me. None of that would have happened if I hadn't lost weight right there in front of the whole world.

The folks I've met in person from here have been phenomenal people! I would certainly do it again given the right circumstances.

Cattle prods and whips, got it. Gonna be kinda strange not being at the receiving end of those for once.

this thread was cool too if anyone missed it, same thing but it has pictures. Who doesn't like pictures?

I don't like pics or links, which is good because your post has neither.

This. I can’t wait to meet @rhenry2424 next week and there’s lots more people here I’d meet in a heartbeat. I’ve met some of my current best friends in other online communities over the years. I’m somewhat cautious about who I meet in person, but so far I’ve never met someone and regretted it in any way.

I haven't formed any close friendships here but yeah after a year or two if I made a close friend I would meet up. I've met some good friends via different communities over the years and I'm still in contact with many of them.

I think you can learn a lot about someone online. It's rare to catfish for over a year without some kind of validation (call or video chat) at some point! You can also tell a lot about a person from their FB posts - if they have no internet history then avoid.

I've met a few in person... and my husband is a member here as well, so like a few of you, I live with someone. :) AND I have a few friends in RL who decided to join up once they saw the site working for me. Most of them do not participate in the community, though.

What happens if they either have a common name OR have strict privacy settings? Avoid? And just curious why?

When I was watching TV at the hospital, I saw this commercial a dozen times about a salt gun that you kill flies with. I want to shoot salt at you. I don't know why though.

Hahah.. Whatever TJ. You are a stand up guy. I enjoyed meeting you! Wish we had longer to talk.

I have met 5 people so far. #6 will be @skctilidie in several days!

All have been pleasant, although I am no longer friends with 3 of them, by choice-not because of the meeting.
Several more on my want to meet list.
