Hi all. Serial yo yo dieter here however this time I'm in it for the long haul. I'm keen to introduce some consistent exercises into my life such as press ups and burpees etc..
Should I simply go to failure and keep an eye on my progression or stick to a solid routine?
I'm keen to 'sculpt the old man boobs so press ups and decline press ups are a must although how long before I start noticing the pecs feeling tighter guys?
Oh and as a complete novice to this I'm keen to start lifting so any help or advice would be massive.

Use a well-designed routine, don't just wing it in the gym. Failure isn't necessary (and can be detrimental if not used properly), but progression is. Here's a comprehensive list of training programs to choose from:
