Ah come on people! The OP wants to give her colon a vacation. It does have a crappy job after all.

Instead of focusing on the negative (like I don't want to eat "garbage" - thankfully not literal), focus on what you do want. Do you want to increase your servings of fruits and veggies. Make a commitment to have at least one serving with every meal and have fruit for snacks along with a slice of cheese. Personally, I find exercising regularly tends to naturally gravitate me towards a more balanced diet. I still fit in some treats though. No need to label items as good or bad (garbage), it is the overall diet that is either balanced or not.
*kitten* through the eye of a needle is the best thing I've read here in a while Oh, and the rest of your post was good too!

Same here... last week I had the most amazing slow cooker vension stew.. tender meat high in protein, plus TONS of root vegetables. Potatoes, carrots, parsnips, some corn and peas. As much as I love my meat, especially RED meat.. I do enjoy stocking up like crazy on vegetables. Good vitamins and minerals, very filling and low caloric density. They good as a pairing with things like Elk steak and Venison tenderloin.0
