I'm on a keto diet and tried 16:8 Intermittent fasting today. It went wonderful and I wasn't hungry at all.
Does anyone else have any experience with IF?

Nothing special. Just an eating schedule/ preference9

I’ve been using a 16:8 pattern for many years. I’ve gained weight, maintained, and lost weight on it. What matters for weight loss is your calorie intake - if you consume less calories than you expend you’ll lose weight, regardless of what time (or in what time window) you eat them.
The benefit of intermittent fasting is that, for some people, it controls hunger better and makes it easier to stick to your calorie goal (anecdotally, I have found this to be the case, but not everybody does). There are other health benefits attributed to it by various people (many of them being woo peddlers), but no scientific research to back up many of the “magical” claims.
It won’t make you lose weight any faster than any other eating time frame, given equivalent calories.18 -

^This.
I've not eaten breakfast for over 20 years. I was at my highest weight eating this way and my lowest weight. Eating within a certain time frame made no difference -- how many calories I put in my face hole was all that mattered.
I am one of those people who finds it easier to regulate her appetite skipping breakfast. My high weight likely would have been higher had I not been skipping it, but it was still pretty high! Unfortunately, I don't have good hunger/satiety signals, so combining meal timing with calorie counting/tracking did the trick for me.12 -
I fell into this rhythm after just a week on Keto. Going to try to stretch it to 18/6 since you get more autophagy results with 18-24 hr fasts...17

I ate like that for a year, it was great, but nothing special; other meal schedules have also worked great. Just having a meal schedule automates things, makes eating more routine and less emotion. The big difference was how flexible and confident aiming to stick to this "window" made me - I learned that I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner whenever I wanted, the fear I had of "getting too hungry" was so exaggerated that I understand it was planted in me by the same suppressive forces that tell us all the BS we should and shouldn't do. Liberating. It's interesting to discover these things.2

Autophagy is one of those things that when you are looking at the science is still in its baby shoes of being looked at but everyone and their mother are promoting their goddamn diets as being great for it.14 -

Because of no progress on loss, I decided to try the IF 16-8 to shake things up. I do miss my morning tea with all my yummy fat, but my Oolong tea and stevia holds me till 1 for lunch. Now, here's hoping for a good result!4 -

The other problem with the autophagy results is that they are all rat studies or in-situ studies with no confirmed results in humans.9 -

@jkenglish61 I read this guy to get his personal experience on things like this. He post his bio so you can decide what to take away from his experiences and reading of research.
Best of success. I have been Keto for 4 years and slowly at the age of 67 many health issues are resolving. Hope it works out well for you.10 -
