Talking on a landline and your parents/sibling would listen on the other line

And that landline was a phone screwed to the was with a curly wire leading to the handset!! No cordless extensions in my younger days. Actually I remember when there was no extension line at all for anybody else to sneak and listen on.

Do you remember or did you have a party line? Not the late night chat line, but when one phone line served multiple numbers.

Although the show was fantastic, I just want this character to return, not as an older version of himself but as a young one.

And of course we will miss Rik as well. (R.I.P.)

I have friends living in rural areas here who had party lines until 15ish?? years ago.

There's an old dial phone in my bedroom. I'm bad with letting the handsets die so sometimes it's the only phone that works.

Letter writing is a lost art. I miss writting letters.
I used to have pen-pals for years growing up. It was great!
