Herniated disc with sciatica...awful! Have good deadlift and squat form.

Sciatica sucks. I was basically told I'll have to accept that I'll have pain from that the rest of my life cause I've most likely a disc that slips a bit and irritates it. Fun

I jumped off this cliff (I'm standing at the top in this picture, not me actually falling) and failed to put my legs straight to break the water as I went in, so I hit the water in a sitting position. Which is almost like hitting concrete... I had to swim out and climb back up to the top instead of dying, which was the only thing I really wanted to do at the time...

    I've been struck by lightning.
This is one of my Lichtenberg scars after about a week of healing. They were all over from my feet al the way up the back of my head onto my forehead.

Woah woah :o I always felt like lightening would get me eventually. But it hasn't caught me yet. I probably just jinxed myself.

For the record, a fracture and a "break" are the same thing. In the medical community we dont use the term broken bone. Every break is a fracture. Some are worse than others. There is some confusion with people thinking they "didnt break it, only fractured" as if a fracture is a crack and a break is a gory one sticking out of the body. No such thing. A crack is a fracture. A major break is a fracture.

That makes sense. My rib was only broken a little bit, probably...but it sucked! They didn't even x ray it...just poked me and I was plz stop.

Coworker got kicked by a horse and several ribs...I can only imagine what a nightmare that would feel like.

Anything broken is a bad. It could be horribly bad. When I broke my foot I hopped around all day...wouldn't describe as horrible but definitely not good. Broke an arm wrestling one time young and that was not good. Shivers.

I had my arm behind my back and took a fall.

I have not been struck by lightning or set on fire very much.

I bet they are pretty painful. I dont know where this confusion comes from. Some patients take their splints off and never get follow up care because they think a fracture is somehow not a big deal.

Maybe not my worst, but two weekends ago I had a pretty gruesome accident with a razor-tooth pruning saw. I was cutting branches off of a tree and I was pulling a branch down with my right hand while cutting with my left. When the saw cut through, the branch snapped back and I chopped down on my thumb pretty hard. There was blood everywhere and my son cried, my wife screamed and ran away. It looked like I had been bitten by a shark.

The brusing and swelling has gone down, but it's still painful and hard to bend. Unfortunately, it was such a clean cut that I probably won't get a cool scar out of it. :(

Mine got better and I'm now without pain...but it took a good year. It's a confusing injury...all are different, no guaranteed good outcome or path to follow. I did McKenzie method and felt like it helped.

One time, I could do the splits and did it without warming up one day

What happened next was so not cool 🤣

Broken rib sucked...shoulder surgery sucked. Broken foot one time celebrating a victory in Earthball (giant volleyball). Abscessed tooth...gotta say back pain was worst.

It's insidious...never stops until it becomes leg pain. Ughhh. I never got to the numb stage but I know that is a progression.

Do you know the cobra stretch? Tummy on ground and press up with just arms. That helped my sciatica.

That sounds good but I'm dealing with a bad shoulder now which inhibits somethings.

I had thought I pulled a hamstring but was informed it is sciatica

My worst sounding injury is that I stabbed myself in the eye with scissors (no damage, eye just watered a lot).

Worst injury is some nerve pain in my hip from getting hit by a car while riding my bike.

This looks like a fun time. I think it could lead to injuries though once all those bubbles were popped.

nah, I have a few injuries....

nothing spectacular .... snapped a leg playing football.

broke a finger while defending myself

road rash from laying down a road bike

    like I said, nothing spectacular

Thing is, I always take necessary precautions and in most sporting events make sure I have the proper gear.
