8/15 189.5* (* denotes weigh in on scale that is at the new house not my usual apartment scale)
8/16 - Thursday - 187.0* - As much as I'd like to base my goal of this number not yesterdays - I know that's not realistic. I didn't eat enough yesterday as it was too hot to cook and I didnt have an appetite either. I also weighed on not my scale again and tomorrow will be on my scale, so I'm taking all these numbers as data, but not very specific data. Like I said last round - more focus on my mental health these days. No lunch packed as I'm VERY in limbo - DH wants moes for lunch and I started panicking that it wasnt healthy and would cost too much. But guess what - it is what it is! So instead, I'm rejoicing that I get to eat a quesadilla and realizing that I already planned a little financial cushion this week because we need to eat and cooking thru this is not realistic. I definitely have a caloric cushion too because I've been undereating surprisingly these past few days.
8/17 - Friday - 189.0 - Moving day. Hot. Humid. Thunderstorms. Got it done. We are bruised and battered but I am in awe of what I accomplished. Saying thanks to my body for being the beast I forgot it could be. I did one season of heavy lifting way back when and would love to get back into it! I definitely didnt expect moving to make me love my body more but it did.
8/18 - Saturday - 186.5* - ate fried chicken after completing what felt like a heroic feat of a move. Unpacking some boxes today but taking it easy. Havent been sore like this in a long time but I don't mind one bit. a reminder of what I accomplished. Went grocery shopping for some things for the week.
8/19 - Sunday - 189.5* - Made a nice big breakfast, but not much of an appetite. Enjoyed the morning at the new house with DH and coffee on the porch though. Went out to run errands and get some yard working supplies. Took the pup to the local arts and crafts fair. Came home and had a light lunch of leftovers and walked. Took back my bird watching shed from the rhododendron that was trying to eat it and did some weeding. Shook out the rugs and brought them all in. DH took me out for ice cream at our new local farm! Pup got one too and we watched the cows in the field. Home for dinner (we ate backwards ) and DH cooked chicken quesadillas while I made some more progress on Laundry and closets. Can't believe what we accomplished in one weekend. Plenty of house projects to keep us busy like that for the next 30 years!
8/20 - Monday - 189.0* - Need to bring my scale to the house! Getting back to a routine, or trying to atleast! Lots of projects going on! Happy to be maintaining!
8/21 - Tuesday - 188.0* - Yesterday was another really busy evening with house chores. Things NEEDED to get done last night so dinner was late. We still found some time to relax and reconnect and make sure we are still on the same page and happy. We had a chicken Cesar salad for dinner around 9:30 and it hit the spot. I realized that I've been a bit panicked the past few days. We just changed our lives 100% and I'm scared and nervous and stumbling my way thru things right now. But this is how I grow. I know that stepping out of my comfort zone means heeby jeebies - but it also means huge opportunities for a brighter future. Here's to being brave and being better every day!
8/22 - Wednesday - 186.5* - Forgot my scale AGAIN yesterday. Womp womp. I would consider just sticking with the scale I've been using but the 1/2 lb increments kind of drive me nuts. So, I'll use it for now and readjust when I switch back to my old one. I told DH how scared I was about everything last night. It felt good to just let it all out. He kindly reminded me that a healthy fear is good - it means you're striving for something better. He also shared his fears and we were able to build each other back up. So I'm feeling a bit rejuvenated today. DH cooked sausage pepper and onion sandwiches for dinner. TOM finally arrived this morning. Thinking of starting to track basal temps and such to see if I can track ovulation and get a little more familiar with my body before we start ttc. Got a consignment couch for the interim until we decide what we want for furniture - and got the cable set up and finally hung out in the living room last night. Have to finish moving the last things from the apartment and clean it this weekend so lots more physical activity coming up! I've been sleeping really well at the new place, whether I'm exhausted or it's very calming I'm not sure yet but I'll take it!
8/23 - Thursday - 186.5* - Feeling like crap. "took it easy" last night and packed up a load from the apartment. Unloaded that and did a million other things, but couldnt really tell you what - was just kind of a hurricane around the house. I was better about my water at home than at work - which is the opposite of my normal. But definitely not a bad thing. The water at home is lovely right out of the tap, so no more wrestling with a water filter every day to fill jugs for everything - feeling extremely grateful for more accessible healthy water. Woke up 40 minutes earlier than usual, 5 minutes before my alarm that I purposely set early. I need to get in the habit of GETTING UP when I wake up before my alarm. Those last 5 minutes do me NO good. Checking in early and focusing on work this morning - lots of work to do! Which is a very good thing!

@mmebouchon I would suggest that it is the source of those calories rather than the number. 200 calories of chocolate or fruit will not fuel your body the same as 200 calories of broccoli or spinach.4

Start Weight Feb 2018 - 202
Goal Weight July 2019 - 140
8/16 - 182.6 - Fairly healthy day yesterday. Jonah requested burgers for supper so had cucumber slices and Pringles with it instead of fries.
8/17 - 182.4 - Good day again yesterday. Sure missing my walks because of the smoke in the air.
8/18 - 183.0 - well I wish we could just forget yesterday happened, but there is no honesty and accountability in that. I overate yesterday and made poor choices all day. I was tired from a sleepless night and craved so much junk. Even as I ordered both lunch and supper I was arguing with myself. Then I couldn’t force myself to exercise much even after paying to go swim. Oh well, today is a new day and I’m rested, lots to do today so that should help burn some off.
8/19 - 183.0 much better day yesterday, it will still be two or three days before I see the end of Friday’s debacle though.
8/20 - 184.0 Leftover from Friday, yesterday was pretty good.
8/21- The scale was teasing me this morning, the first time I stepped on it said 177! I thought this can't be right and stepped on again. It was 184.0, then again it was 183.2. So I'm not really sure what to put, maybe it needs new batteries? Had a fairly healthy day yesterday at least.
8/22 - 183.6 - This is not moving in the right direction this round at all! Have to be good for the next couple of days.
8/23 - 183.2 - had a very high calorie lunch yesterday but was able to turn it around and ended up in the green.

*GET MY BUTT MOVING
Day/Weight/Comment
8/16 155.2 Weak start as far as my eating yesterday for this challenge as I overindulged and did not track my meal last night, but it was good. I expect a bump up tomorrow from the carbs (rice, garlic bread, alcohol, ice cream)
8/17 156.2 Yesterday another wth day, ate well all day until after dinner toast with butter, ice cream, basically a binge. Not really sure what is going on, but if I had to guess I would say...I am feeling bored and am seeking "variety" through eating, plus that "full" feeling when you eat a lot of carbs. As I was eating the ice cream it didn't even taste that good or satisfy, but I finished it anyway. I guess it's why I am here. It's hard sometimes to deal with the relationship with food. It's not like we can go cold turkey and stop eating. One day at a time.
8/18 155 Woke up with a migraine- movies last night, popcorn. Eating still not good. Dairy causing breakouts. Headaches. Body is telling me.
8/19 154.2 Stayed down most of yesterday recovering from the migraine, it's so strange how our bodies choose to let go of weight. I have had a "bad" week so far eating macros and over calories, yet I am now dropping. Just another lesson to trust the process and stay the course. I am not beating myself up for induging, because I am not on a diet. I am merely making smarter choices with occasional treats. My whole life I have done the yoyo, though this is the highest (171) I let myself go. Where I usually run into problems is not in losing the weight, that is the easy part. The hard part is when I am thin and I think I can just eat whatever I want. And there it comes back again. The only time I really maintained was when I was a runner, though I lacked tone. I have not gotten myself active again though it is necessary as part of the whole picture, but school starts next Tuesday so there will be no more excuses then!
8/20 Weigh in Day 154.6 Down 1 lb since last weigh in. I found some notes from 2009 with my weight and measurements, I weighed 147 and am curious to see what my measurements will be now 9 years later when I reach that number. I better get my butt moving if I want to match or beat them since for sure I was running back then!
8/21 154.4 Just another day. I started tracking my migraines in my fitbit app so I can maybe finally see what the triggers are. (other than overthinking induced)
8/22 156.2 Bloating from excess calories and carbs yesterday. This has been an off round :-(
8/23 154.4 Good day yesterday, long hilly walk with the dogs, ate below my target, not hungry. I think I am finally getting out of the mood slump. It is all tied together, not sure if the mood causes the eating or the eating causes the mood! NSV lost 2 inches on my monthly waist/hip/thigh measurements.

@mthomas0228 I have said before that WOO should be more properly labeled UH OH or OH NO! Apparently MFP likes the confusion!

@quiltingjaine I don't know why it's not labelled "Boo". I made that mistake when I was new on here too!
@birdiebon Everyone just quotes their previous post and adds to it. Don't worry about reposting, it means we can remind of ourselves on how you've been doing6 -
@birdiebon Copy and paste works for me. I keep a copy in the notes on my phone, add to it daily, then copy and paste.6

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
8/16 133.5 Soooo, the cat woke me at 4AM because he thought that was a good time for breakfast. I didn’t so was going to put him in his carrier. When I pivoted, the toe of my shoe caught in the grout line and we went down. I hit my ribs on the refrigerator and skinned one knee. Pretty sure I’m going to have a bruise but currently sitting with a well wrapped ice pack on my side. I don’t think anything is broken. I think Oskar is going to be restricted at night to the sewing room and bathroom in the future. (Master suite)
8/17 133.5 I slept in the recliner last night and got over 8 hours in spite of my sore ribs and ice pack. At lunch I ate French fries. They were perfectly cooked - crispy! I ate about 1/3 and gave the rest to Carl. I’m still in nutritional ketosis this morning so that’s good. We’ll see what the scale thinks tomorrow or Sunday!
8/18 136.0 (!) That’s what carbs do! I was hurting yesterday from my fall and ate 1/2 a pita with my Greek salad w/ gyro meat. The price I pay for 2 high carb days!
8/19 135.0 Some of my lady friends are coming over to eat, drink, and sew. I wish I felt better. My ribs are better but getting anything accomplished is exhausting. We were out last night, I went to bed late and woke early. DD#2 is going to cut my hair. She is a school teacher but gives better haircuts than the salons I have visited.
8/20 134.5 Two of my friends came over yesterday. We enjoyed good conversation, Keto snacks and adult beverages. Vodka/soda
8/21 135.5 Picked up roasted chilies and ate at one of our fave restaurants last night. Sure there were carbs in that green chili but it was so good! I was in agony by the time we got the chilies in the freezer but feel much better this morning. Back on the heating pad.
8/22 135.5 I am uncomfortably bloated. I think a result of too many cruciferous veggies in the last few days. UGH!
8/23 134.5 I could see the bloat leaving yesterday. It was weird. I’ve never experienced that before!13 -
Round 50 (#14)
I typically don't set goals because I find myself sabotaging them. Stupid, I know, but it's true. This round I've decided to set one goal:Stop binge eating my trigger foods which are too numerous to list.#37: 142.6 - 137.4 = -5.2
#38: 137.4 - 136.8 = -0.6
#39: 136.8 - 136.2 = -0.6
#40: 136.2 - 135.0 = -1.2
#41: 135.0 - 133.6 = -1.4
#42: 133.6 - 134.2 = +0.6
#43: 134.2 - 133.4 = -0.8
#44: 133.4 - 132.4 = -1.0 Body fat 28.0% acceptable range
#45: 132.4 - 132.6 = +0.2
#46: 132.6 - 133.0 = +0.4
#47: 133.0 - 134.8 = +1.8
#48: 134.8 - 137.2 = +2.4
#49: 137.2 - 136.0 = -1.2
8/16: 136.0, 3rd consecutive day of late night binging. Dang, I’m exhausted! Living alone makes this too easy.
8/17: 134.8, yet again... no binging (yay)
8/18: 138.4 Thai for dinner.
8/19: 136.2
8/20: 139.0, restaurant breakfast = almost 1000 calories. Ridiculous.
8/21: 138.2, still not binging, but consumed too many calories.
8/22: 136.4, restaurant food hangover, be gone already. Geez
8/23: 135.6, better…12 -

8/16 216.2: Starting this round off right!
8/17 216.2: I will admit I was bummed that there wasn't a loss at 1st. However, I just posted in my August Challenge that I am in and from last week to today I have lost over a pound. So I will be thankful it wasn't a gain! Happy Friday!
8/18 215.8 Woo Hoo!! Going Down!
8/19 Vacation, scale is staying home.
8/20 217.0 I have no clue why I jumped up so much. Whatever.

@1991court Did you learn anything about your body and/or how your food, beverages, exercise impact your results? My last few rounds were very informative as to how my choices resulted in weight gain.8 -

8/17 149.5 Yippie skippy, my migraine is gone, finally. The smoke from the fires in BC is going away from the coast and they took my headache with them. I can’t imagine how horrible it is for all the folks living in smoke for weeks. 3 days just about did me in.
8/18 149.5
8/19 149.5 yippie! Two weeks of zero movement so I went down 200 cals. a day and finally seeing progress again. It doesn’t make sense cico but I am happy to see that darn scale move. I really was wondering if it was just stuck!
8/20 148.5 Smoke is really bad today
8/21 148 The the smoke is bad again today so outside activity is out for me. Tomorrow I will check out the gym if the smoke is still bad. The 200 calorie drop seems to have jog my body enough to start loosing again. It could be just fluke though, lol.
8/22 147.5 This drop is faster than I want so I will go up 100 calories. I am getting better sleep, using a tiny bit of melatonin. Plus I finally got some kombucha made after letting that slide for months so maybe that has helped with the bloat. The smoke is still too thick so it is indoor body exercise only for me.
8/23 148.5 well so much for going up 100 calories, I kind gave myself and inch and took a mile, sheesh, brandy, cheese and nuts as a snack with dh last night put me way over!
