Round 50
Please join us! Starting on 08/16 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 50
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Will be in again. It'll be an odd round for me as half of it will be at maintenance, and the 2nd half at deficit. Fingers crossed it'll all go well!
Good luck all!!6 -

Hopefully back for Round 50. I've been on an impromptu road trip so round 49 was a total bust and I am sure I have some gains. I will need to get back on board as soon as I get back - hopefully 17th or 18th and shred those holiday gains and get back on track.10

Hi there! my first round starts tomorrow! I will post a comment for each day but I'll not be weighing myself that often, if that's ok! I'm very obsessive with weighing once I get started so I'll weigh tomorrow at the start and weigh either just at the end or half way through. Hope that's not breaking any rules or anything!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!
