Hey I’m relatively new to this app. I am a swimmer and I’m trying to currently gain some muscle and weight for next swim season. I have a slender figure so it is tough for me to gain weight. Any tips and good workout routines for arms, legs, and core. Especially core!!

I like stronglifts 5x5, but there are several good beginner lifting programs. There is a thread something like what lifting program works for you? You just have to eat more and lift more. There is no body type that makes it hard to gain weight.3

Thank you sm! Well it’s kinda tough for me because I have a fast metabolism. I’ve been recently doing some workouts for arms and legs. I’ll def check out the thread. Thank you!0

Pick a program and set MFP to gain 0.5lb per week (eating back exercise calories.. you may have to adjust as you go)
If you have any issues hitting your goals, adding calorie dense food can help. See this thread

I also started out with stronglifts 5x5 and have gotten great results
Sweet! Thanks sm0 -
I eat in a surplus 6 times a day and lift 4 days for 5 months now, almost 14 pound gain. You must eat peanut butter at every opportunity1

peanut butter is a great way. nice chunk of calories with protein. I recently switched to pbfit so I can have a bit more
Peanut butter mixed into oats/porridge is delicious.3
