Low Carb Sandwich?

I love sliced honey/maple ham, but I would like to try a low carb version of a sandwich.
I need something for lunch at school. I want something hearty that gives the satiated feeling of a eating a sandwich but without the bread.
(lettuce wrap is not an option)
Ideas for other portable, hearty lunches also welcome.
thanks

If bread makes you feel satiated, it's likely that the alternative is still starchy carbs... Why not just eat bread? You could get a lower carb or lower cal alternative to whatever bread you normally eat....

You can use the ham as a wrap and fill it with stuff. I mean it depends how large and durable your ham slices are. I add tomatoes, cheese, cucumber strips, lettuce (you can leave that out if it's an issue), you can add mashed up hard-boiled eggs, more meat, whatever you want.. then roll it up, if you want stick a toothpick in it to hold and handle it.3

I just saw pickle sandwiches on facebook with a whole pickle instead of bread0

There are several low carb bread substitutes out there. Some are made with almond flour or coconut flour. I have used the fathead pizza crust made with almond flour for pizza, but I have not made any "bread" with it.

You might ask your question in the low carb forum area. Someone there can advise you on bread substitutes if you want a typical sandwich.

Is there a specific reason lettuce wraps are not an option? Not hearty enough, just don't like, goes limp during the day, other?
I ask because one of my favorite options is red cabbage wraps. A little more substantial, nicely crunchy, holds up well. Another one is sheets of nori. I don't care for most low carb breads, they tend to taste like sandpaper and my blood glucose testing leads me to believe some are lying about the carb content.
Honey / maple ham is not low carb to begin with.
Unless you have a medical condition, there's no weight loss benefit to eating low carb in any case.1 -
"Low carb sandwich" is an oxymoron. Bread is made of grains, grain is starch, starch is carbs.
You love sliced honey/maple ham sandwiches.
It's hearty and gives you a satiated feeling.
Don't fix it if it ain't broken.3
