Motivate me please!

I just turned 30 last month and also gained a few pounds. I am so not motivated to keep calorie count and exercise; I Bartley even walk. I need your support and motivation so much.
Thank you.

Only you can motivate yourself, I'm afraid! Try making a list of reasons why you want to lose a bit of weight and get fitter.

And read these posts, you might find them helpful!

Don't worry about motivation. Just do it the motivation will come later. I had been unmotivated about my weight for years then I had enough. I went to the docs and he mentioned calorie counting and I'm like no thanks I don't count I just eat. I couldn't think of anything worse. Then I thought I'd take his advice after all I'm paying for it and I found this app and once I started logging in I couldn't believe how much food I could eat. It really makes you accountable and it's so easy. I'm down 12kgs as of today and that is all the motivation I need. I wish you luck.

If you can't be bothered to track food intake (you don't have to exercise), maybe you just don't mind the extra pounds.

At the start is when you should have the most motivation. If you are struggling for motivation and you haven't even begun I don't have much hope for you.

You have to decide this is a priority. Random posters on a forum cannot do it for you.

We can help encourage you, but you are responsible for making this happen.

I suggest a long session with the mirror to identify your barriers to success. What is preventing you from making forward progress?

It may seem like we are being mean, but all of this is the truth. Best of luck to you!
