8/26 - 149.4 - Oh come on! ugh, I give up. Not actually but this is really frustrating, time to find some motivation and something to finally get my body to start dropping the weight again.
8/27 - 149.4 - My 10 day average shows a loss so that's something I guess. Got to get back on track before these numbers tell a different story.
8/28 - 148.6 - well I'm finally heading back in the right direction, hopefully it keeps dropping each day this round.

8/30 - 149.8 - worked out yesterday, sore muscles this morning so hopefully just holding water and it will be gone soon.
8/31 - 149.8 - I even turned down donuts and pastries at work yesterday and instead ate grapes and yogurt and I still weigh in heavy. Ugh
9/01 - ?? - Didn't weigh in this morning decided to sleep in instead . Ate lunch out yesterday with my mom but went to Panera Bread and only had a bowl of soup, the bread to dip and a water to drink. I hope to see a drop by the end of this round, got my September goals set up and already worked out this morning and planning on swimming later today after some shopping.
9/02 - 147.8 - excited but not overly because I weighed in less than this a couple rounds back so if the pattern holds I'll be jump back up.
9/03 - 147.8 - Day 3 of 30 of September workouts, hoping it helps push me over this hump I've been stuck on. Busy day outside yesterday, looking forward to a relaxing labor day in our pool today.

8/26 - 154.5 - I've got a birthday party today, cataract surgery tomorrow, and a picnic next Sunday. I'm hoping I can drop a little weight this round with all the events this week.
8/27 - 155.5 - I think I ate around maintenance calories last night, so this was probably some water retention. I had my cataract surgery this morning and then I ate the leftover birthday food today, so tomorrow probably won't be any better.
8/28 - 156 - Ouch! Hopefully I can get back to work tomorrow and get back on track.
8/29 - 156 - I'm not feeling quite confident enough to get to work today, but I've been staying on track with my food the past couple days. I hope the weight goes back down soon.
8/30 - 155 - I'm back at my office and hopefully the weight will keep going back down. We're having a surprise out of town guest staying with us for the next few days, so I'll have to be mindful while we're entertaining him.
8/31 - 155.5 - I stayed within my weight loss calories, but I had one drink with my daughter to celebrate her birthday and then later in the evening, a glass of wine to celebrate my stepdaughter's possible home purchase. I always watch my calories so I can have a glass of red wine every evening with my husband. It is interesting how just one extra drink always seems to bump up my weight.

9/02 - 155 - I weighed yesterday, but didn't have time to post. I'll try to catch up on everyone's comments sometime soon. We've had a crazy few days and it's not getting any better for the next couple. I'll try to keep the calories at maintenance through tomorrow.
9/03 - 155.5 - I had an extra glass of wine with my sister in law last night. It was worth it.

I did beautifully last week, now I'm working from 8am to sometimes 10 at night moving carpet, laying floor, walking up and down the stairs to cut it, and I'm gaining weight? I only logged 4 hours of cleaning for exercise and stayed within those calories all week minus one day. It's just frustrating!

To be honest though, I definitely wasn't always this way. It took time to build up mentally but once I got it in my head that I didn't need to set aside 30 min in one go (though that would be nice) to get my fitness in, I started becoming better and knowing what I can do when I can. I also sometimes can't log it in right away, so I have a little note pad that I make a quick note on so I can continue with my task and then add it all together later. Now it comes natural. Even at the end of the day, when I'm tried and just want to sit in front of the tv, I know that putting in some exercise while watching doesn't necessarily mean I need to get up and commit to a cardio routine, it means I can pic up some weights and do some lifts or curls. Every little thing helps in the long run...and it's funny because I find myself committing to doing more total hours of work out by the end of the day then I did when I commited to the one 30 min routine...because mentally I would always think I'm done and did my workout for the day.10 -

My Story
I lost 40 lbs slowly during the economic downturn by exercising an hour a day and logging. As the economy improved I started to get job offers so that I was working 2 on-call jobs with commutes for a while. I gained most back. Then I got the stable wonderful full-time job I have now. As I do typically with a new job I lost 10 pounds at first but couldn't keep it off also typical. Then I stopped the gain. I even turned it around. However I had a run in recently with an old bad scale so I am starting all over again to stop and turn things around yet again. See below. I have done that but I am determined to very quickly get back the progress I had thought I had achieved in Round 49. I was in the mid 250s I thought. My son is sending me on a Caribbean cruise the end of the month and I want to be in the 240s. I have heard that cruises are not the place to lose weight so I want to have some room. I like to lose my weight slowly and steadily but not this month.

9/02: 262.2 right direction but not enough to reach my goal, I drank more water, I am getting more rest, I got hungry last night after a soup and salad dinner and had popcorn with just a little coconut oil and salt. I plan to do some more cooking today to have healthy food to start the week. We had work done on our home earlier this past week and I need to find my gym bag. Haven't been able to get to aquafit. This weekend I am trying to put my house back together.

8/26 - 121.6 Had a lot going on (again). I was able to stick to my plan of no added sugar. Telling myself "I'm done eating" is difficult. The worst time of the day is at night... it seems like once I eat, I continue eating. The "Kitchen is Closed" sign is going to have to have a padlock on it! Goal is to live this life for God and to be continually thankful for the life he has given me. I need to take care of this body in the best way I can. Sometimes my mind gets a little obsessed with food and I cave in. Yes, I know what I am supposed to do, but it is so hard and sometimes I give in which creates a spiraling effect.
8/27 - 121.6 – got a nice bike ride in. VERY humid and did the “big” hill!
8/28 – 123 – Did good yesterday and am thinking the weight gain is due to salt. I guess we’ll see tomorrow! Swam 30 minutes this morning, so I’m off to a good start! 14 mile bike ride.
8/29 – 123 – Not happy that the weight didn’t go down. Food was good but I need to drink more water. Night time (after dinner) is still an issue. Goal for today is to stop eating when my calorie max is reached. Did water aerobics this morning with a bike ride planned for this afternoon. 22 mile bike ride
8/30 – 121.8 – Finally! Food was in line with my plan yesterday. Swam 20 minutes this morning. Bike ride (commute) today and group ride tonight. Update: Had a headache all afternoon, didn’t go to the group ride and went to bed right after dinner.
8/31 – 123.8 - ?? Maybe wine? Normally don’t have a glass but my body seems to be extremely “weight” reactive to anything “not on plan”. Ok. No more. Plan is to eat clean and stay on plan… only 5 more days left. I can do this! This morning I swam for 30 minutes and biked (commuted) for 45. Weather is nice and may bike to a friend’s to kayak. 😊
9/01 - 123.8. Really tired yesterday. Biked 40 minutes yesterday but was really tired. Overate, probably due to being tired and trying to “rev up the engine”. Not a good thing. I have to learn to only eat when hungry. I once read that “if you’re not hungry, food isn’t going to fix it”. I need to think about that more before I put food into my mouth. Did water aerobics for 60 minutes this morning. Love that class and the people in it. Attending a funeral today and closing our pool down. The weather is dark & dreary… not looking good for the next two weeks and there is no sense heating the pool for that kind of weather. This is my least favorite time of year as it is a visible reality that winter is coming! New vow: Try to change my mindset to look at life in a more positive manner! Goal for today: only eat when hungry! Smile!
9/02 – 121.0. Glad the weight came back down. Swam for 30 minutes this morning as we just didn’t have enough time to close the pool down yesterday. Today is the day and the rain is holding off, so we (hubby) should have enough time to close it. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend for a long time. On to a new routine! Bad headache this morning, possibly due to poor sleep last night. Goal for today: Only eat when truly hungry and only at planned meal times, not because I’m tired or have a headache. No eating after supper. Only two days left on this round I want to kill it!
9/03 – 121.8. No reason that I can think of for the increase and given that it has taken me a while to gain the weight, I’m not going to wory about it. NSV: Yesterday was a no-cheat day (despite having little sleep and a headache). Aiming for a no-cheat today too. Need to plan out the new fall exercise routine. As usually, when the seasons change and I am forced to change-up my exercise, I flounder around until I settle in again. Weather is rainy and probably will stay that way for the next couple of weeks, so I am either going to squeeze in a workout between the drops or resort to my Beachbody online. Again, if it is Beachbody, I’m not sure which one I want to do. Being 59 yo, I don’t like “jumping” which makes me discouraged when I constantly have to modify. Anyone else out there in their upper 50’s/low 60’s? What do you do?

and the balloon bouquet! @SheilaBoneham, ONE POUND LEFT! I don't like leaving calories behind either. Walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, each around 200 calories for 1/4 cup/30grams, good for inflammation. I sometimes crush the nuts and use them as a topping on any firm fleshed white fish. Mix the nuts with your seasoning of choice and sprinkle on top of fish before baking.

My birthday always starts out with a thank you Father God for blessing me with another year of life. A bit of melancholy for the one who physically brought me into this world. I miss my mother on this day and her birth anniversary more than any other days of the year. A whole lot of joy yesterday, spent with my sons, DH, DIL, niece/daughter and grand children. More sugar (frosting) eaten yesterday than I've had in quite some time. It was good though, 😋almond raspberry cake w/almond buttercreme. Kind of gave me a brief head ache, not a headache. Lol. All in all a very lovely day.

8/27 174.0/I'm happy to be starting off another round with a loss. At the beginning it was difficult to see the forest through the trees as my weight doesn't decrease very much throughout each 10 day period, but my SW is decreasing over time. My goal for this challenge is to get down to the 171's or to start the next challenge in the 171's. I want to move beyond this decade. I have a trip planned in a little less than a month and would love to lose 8 pounds by then.
8/28 173.6/ Great! I didn’t drink enough water yesterday, but managed to stay pretty close to my calorie goal. It will be about 100 degrees F here today, so I will be drinking plenty of water.
8/29 173.8/ I’m happy to be staying below 174 for a few days in a row, I’m hopeful for a big loss this round. I know that I won’t hit the goal I was hoping for by September 15th but I’d like to be out of this decade.
8/30 173.6/ I had a doctor’s appointment this morning and the nurse congratulated me on losing weight since the last time I had been in the office. My weigh-in is tomorrow, I’m hoping to dip below the 173’s.
8/31 173.0/ This is the lowest weight I’ve seen since January and I’m really happy with it. I know that we’ll be eating out tonight, but I’m hoping to say within calories the rest of the weekend. I’d really like to leave this decade and hit the 160’s soon.
9/01 172.4/ Yes! I was surprised to see this number after eating out last night, but I also logged 13,000+ steps yesterday. I’m trying to load up on water now but expecting a slight gain tomorrow.

9/3 / 220.8 / Feeling good. I've been lazy about exercise recently, but today will see a change in that. If I do it right, I'll expect a water weight gain tomorrow from some sore muscles. I have a number of challenges I've given myself for the next four weeks and I made progress on all of them yesterday. 8/29 161 still doing well not going over my calorie range, but having more days where I'm not eating enough and I can't close out my diary. Going to try and get to the grocery store today to get some more fruits/veggies, so I can snack on those on days when I need the extra calories. I'm happy that I'm getting full quicker though, that's a plus. A couple months ago I wanted to eat everything in the house!

I get sick when I have vitamins too. My Mom had us take them growing up. She wasn't a good cook but she knew nutrition. We never got colds or flu. But now I get bad headaches. I seem to be able to take somethings like vitamin D a must in Seattle. So I too would like to take them again but hard to experiment when the result it a migraine or something like it. Take care.
@KeriA thanks for the reply. I'm sorry they make you sick also. I'm not sure what it is, but I can't keep them down, and I too get a headache. Strange. Someone suggested once for me to try children's chewable's or gummies, I may try that. You take care too!
@cdavisdeva and @KeriA B complex makes me vomit, which is in all multivitamins. Supplemental D can be toxic. Research ingredients/chemical make up. Might be healthier to invest in a UV lamp and eat foods rich in D.
@jerier its disheartening how some things that are supposed to be good for you aren't. I also had to skip out of my prenatal vitamins all 3 of my pregnancies, but all my little ones turned out healthy. May have to do some research.3 -

8/26 162.4 new week new start. Ate good, walked around with my hubby but my water needs to be better, 1 liter. Hope everyone has a great week!!
8/27 161.6 90 min of endurance challenges (plank, crunches, pushups, squats) ate delicious healthy food and drank 1.5 liters of water. Happy to see this number!!!! I know (from experience) that if I keep this up I will easily reach the 50s. Having said that though, I know once I start my 50s those 10 pounds will be way harder to take off from the last 15. Not going to think about that now though, just planning to keep moving forward.
8/28-- 161.4 I drank a bottle of water before I weighed in....oops. Yesterday I had another boost of energy which I find is happening more often then it used too. I did 150 min of exercising, the only issue with that being I ended up staying up till 1 30 in the morning 😥😥 i took the day off because I am going to the hospital with my aunt for the day (nothing serious) so at least I got to sleep in longer then usual but i do need to better manage these energetic days. I was also less hungry, forcing down my food. I always feel like there is no comfortable medium for me I am either always hungry or not hungry at all. 1.6 liters of water
8/29 ---160.8 crazy morning..So happy I can finally post. Ate out yesterday (haven't gone out to a restaurant in forever) but grabbed all healthy alternatives and stayed within my calorie goal. I'm excited by this number but yesterday's lunch had tons of sodium so I am hoping that this number doesn't increase too much or at all by tomorrow. Walked a good amount of the day and didn't get around to my usual work out routine (guess yesterday was my one rest day this week) and drank 1 liter of water. I can't wait to see those 50s, but I am trying not to get my hopes up just yet...TOM will be here in a couple of days
8/30-- 160.6 my body likes to tease me as I reach a new weight range. Exercised for 90 min, ate within my calories and 1.6 liters of water. Hope everyone has a great day.
8/31-- 160.6 feeling bloated today. My TOM is supposed to be here this weekend so first comes the feeling of being bloated and fat, next comes a slight weight gain. Usually I don't get upset by a weight gain, knowing that it will drop immediately after my first day, this time around I am slightly peeved. I am so close to those 50s and now I am going to be teased lol. On a positive note I took my measurements yesterday and in the past two weeks I have lost 1 and a 1/2 inches on my waist and 1/2 inch on my hips....not too bad if I do say so myself. 1.5 liters of water yesterday, ate within my calories and 90 min of endurance training. 9/02-- no scale. Yesterday went down to the CNE, walked for over 10 hours and stayed away from all the delicious smelling foods and junk. NSV for sure!!
9/03-- 161.6 and there it is folks. TOM arrived this morning. I know for a fact it isn't anything I did wrong because not only did I eat healthy and below my calories on Saturday, while walking for 10+ hours straight but yesterday I ate good, stayed below my calories and went swimming for 3+ hours. Staying away from cookies and other junk food (besides a sliver of fudge, but I weighed it and added it to my diary, wasn't all that much) ate half a burger and fruit. I'm also grumpy today lol. Tomorrow I should see a drop again, I don't know if I will hit my goal of leaving these 60s behind and seeing the 50s, but it won't stop me from trying. Glad I am home today though, tons of cleaning and MFP to catch up on. It's amazing the amount of back log I have being away for two days. Anyway Happy Monday all.

•8/26 - 183.4 - Fluid retention. Not enough sleep.
•8/27- 182.4 - Tired. Woke up with a slight headache from a couple of champagne cocktails that I drank. Long, but enjoyable day with my family yesterday. We celebrated the first of the end of Summer "cavalcade of birthdays" in our family.
•8/28 - 182 - And yes, still with the fluid retention, steadily coming down and the weight with it. I've never experienced this before. Today I'll update my MFP progress again to my Round 50 end weight.
•8/29 - 183.2 - Here's a weight I skipped. It found me. Thanks buddy. Lol.
•8/30 - 183.6 - The last 183 increment. FINALLY! My body is so peculiar. I did see 181 when I first stepped on the scale. Maybe I will settle to that weight by the end of this round. It depends on whether I have been the full 182 set or not.
•8/31 - 182.6 - 182.8 did show up for the first time. S-M-H. I had not been that weight before. My scale also showed 180 point something this morning. Not a lot of sleep last night. Stayed up late watching videos on coffee filter flower making, then spent time folding and dyeing a pkg of coffee filters. Expensive, time wise, but a LOT less expensive in $$. I think they will be perfect for my friends flower wall.

30/08 I've been in a tiny deficit this week, could have done so much better but have done a lot of boredom eating, going to shift back to eating dinner later as I think this gave me less time to fridge-raid.
My aim for today is to stick to just dinner when I get home, no fridge-raiding, no excuses!
31/08 Managed to mostly avoid fridge raiding last night - did some time on the exercise bike and a strength training routine to keep me busy before dinner, which I ate around 9pm.
Aims for today are to make up the steps I would normally have gained from walking to work (took a taxi this morning as I had a voucher to use and liked the extra sleep before away camping the weekend).
Won't be able to log weight Saturday or Sunday as I'm away in the West Cork Wilderness.

Everyone commented on my new look and vitality. And I kept catching my EX looking at me out of the corner of his eye. Looking up and down, if ya know what I mean. Overall, I’m calling this off-plan day a success. However, I’m back to plan today.

Chiming in on the B complex discussion
I was diagnosed with borderline pernicious anemia when I was 21 years old. That scared the heck out of me. I've taken B 12 and B complex since then. B vitamins have always given me indigestion, but it was tolerable enough that I could take them in the morning. Yes, they smell disgusting and taste worse. Ten years ago, I had to stop taking the B complex every day because they were giving me an upset stomach. Then, I had to give them up completely for a few years because they were causing pains in my stomach. Just recently I began taking them again, after dinner or just before bed. I seem to tolerate them better at night, at least for now.3 -

My Goal for the next 10 days : if i Can have same results as previous round that will be awesome but i will try to do better.
Strategy: eat better, drink vinaigre acide twice a day, burn 350-400 cal by doing exercices . Intermittent fasting. This round will try not to eat after 6PM, it seems that's very helpful for weightloss.

I hear you, @jerier. I don't do it for weight loss but to try to stay limber. I have some inflammatory issues that make me stiff and achy if I don't keep myself moving.3 -
