Ask much as I don't agree this the advice given by Grambo on this thread I think the fact that the above post has been flagged twice as "abuse" is a sad indictment of the forum.
Anyone care to share why you felt so offended by that post that you felt the need to report it?
Are we not grown up here?
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that those of us arguing with him didn't report him, as we are all in lots of threads where arguments ensue and have seen far worse. The fact that a couple of lurkers reported him incorrectly I don't think says anything about the forum. I do find that post unnecessarily confrontational and I'm not surprised if someone unfamiliar with how things get online thought it was over the line and didn't realize the rules for flagging and reporting.
I'd try to keep this on the subject of the OP, but she seems to have decided to stay out of this, as I probably also would've done. Hopefully she got the info she needed. Like @AnnPT77 said this post about women strength training has devolved into a male pissing contest, now topped off by someone who reported it being told to grow up. <shrug> Heck, maybe the op reported it, hoping to get the thread closed as 95% of it isn't about her question anyway.
People don't know how to use the woo button, they don't know the correct way to use the flag and report functions. It is what it is. If the report wasn't warranted, it will be removed.7 -
Dont lift heavy!!! Why do you want strength when strength will increase your arm sizeGotta say it: It wouldn't be an MFP women's weight training thread without a group of guys getting in a dispute about what the women ought to do. (Expertise knows no genger, but neither does irony.)
Your points along with your gender laced statement are well informing. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
