I really appreciated this article! I read so many different things in these forums and it's enough to make my head spin. This makes sense!

For anyone interested, there is a group on Facebook called SC ladies. Bret is the creator of strong curves and he is awesome. He even will contribute on the group page sometimes.....

I love this article, I do crossfit and it is mainly weight training, some days you have running, however, I was just thinking yesterday to include more cardio and this article confirmed that for me....

    Will do that, starting today

Great article and should really help explain what women MEAN when they say "I don't want to get bulky" and hopefully stop some of the more knee-jerk replies.

"In the US, the average daily caloric intake is around 3,770 calories." Seriously?? Wow...

I completely believe it, and I imagine I eat that much or more on certain days. When I get a stomach flu or something and stop eating, it amazes me how little food I can get by on for several days. Most of my eating seems to be out of habit or boredom or for enjoyment, not because I'm actually hungry.

based on how fat I was and how much I was exercising (because I ran and lifted when I was fat), I must have been eating about 3000 calories a day to maintain that weight.

ETA: it's not hard when you drink mochas from starbucks and snack while studying.

I am glad I read the article, it has some really good points in it. Although usually I don't even like reading anything related to fitness, so at least this is informative.
