Healthy recipes

Hey everyone! If anyone has any healthy recipes for “bad” foods like cookies or pizza, I’d LOVE to hear them! Always looking for healthy alternatives! Or if there are any items I can buy at the supermarket and keep stored at home when I need something extra. Thanks!!

Healthy can be eating one slice of pizza instead of two.
I see lots of recipes where the fat is reduced or eliminated but I’ve decided, especially for salad dressings and Mediterranean recipes, that the olive oil and cheese are important carriers for vitamins, not to mention taste.
Another way to healthy up a recipe is to reduce sugar. But if it is replaced with honey, maple syrup or agave syrup it’s a distinction without a difference.
The third most common modification is to increase fiber. Switch from white flour to whole wheat, or add bran.3 -
Thank you!! Will take your advice.0

That all being said, here are my favourite healthied-up recipes:
Black bean brownie. (More fiber, less sugar)

Mediterranean Tuna Salad. (Low carb high fiber)

Chickpea Casserole (more fiber)

I like homemade pizza. I can roll the crust thin, use turkey pepperoni, 2% cheese and veggies. It's still pizza and there's nothing wrong with pizza (or cookies) in moderation.
When I make cookies I still use regular recipes and be sure to bring them somewhere so I don't have the whole batch at home. I've used 50% Splenda in baked goods too. It works fine for reducing calories. Just be sure to watch your baking time as things brown a little faster.1 -
For ready made pizza try a Dr. Oetker thin crust. Watch your portion sizes and pair it with a nice salad.
For ready made cookies try Glutino chocolate dipped wafer cookies.
Save money by bulk roasting your meat at the beginning of the week then adding to various recipes. Have wraps on hand to wrap up those leftovers for lunch. Most wraps have the same calories as a slice of bread so read those labels!1 -

If you like Pizza, look at the bodybuilding.com youtube videos about their Chicken Crust Pizza. My family likes it and the macros are amazing.1 -

This protein donut thread is very popular! I'm planning to try them this weekend. The Kodiak protein pancake mix is really good.
