I am doing Keto. I am on day #8. Today is a *kitten*. I feel weak and kind of with the flu. It is a normal feeling while your body does the transition of carbs and sugar. I have been feeling good and my pants fit a lot better.

I am late, but I am in. Full-time 100% remote employee, who has a 10 month old at home all day too, along with 4 other kids. I am seriously a fulltime stay at home mom AND i have a legit career, its exhausting to even take showers some days.

Nevertheless, excuses dont bring results. I still want to lose 20 pounds by Feb 1st, thats 10 pounds a month. I would DIE if i made that  So why not try it out??

    Starting Weight - 172.4
    Height - 5'3"

    Ultimate Goal Weight - 135lbs

20 lbs in 2 months with only about 40 lbs to lose isn’t a reasonable goal.

Ugh, I actually came out up this week, but it was a rough week as far as food went. I ended up super busy, missed a few workouts, and ate some quick stuff that was not ideal. I will just have to try again this week.

I haven't been updating in here! Here's my stats.

October 21st - Start of the 20lb challenge (I saw this thread a bit late.)
    November 21st - 9 pounds lost
    December 10th - 12 pounds lost

I will update again on December 21st if I remember to! Hopefully I'll lose another three pounds by then, though I'm not super hopeful.

I joined a similar group/ challenge before. I was more motivated than ever, had my longest streak of logging in, got pregnant, put it on hold... miscarried, been eating everything and tracking nothing ever since. Grief is a beotch but I'm no quitter. Time to get back to my lovely, supportive MFP peeps. Its 5 lbs a month, during holiday season. Who's with me?
How it works: just check in as often as you want to stay accountable. What's working, what isn't, current goals, pep talk, etc.
How to join? Just comment and follow the post!

First time on scale in one month! I just returned from traveling over Thanksgiving (cruise ship and touring in rental car). I knew I was eating a lot of yummy stuff, but tried to keep it 'good' food and tried to get in plenty of exercise. And yay... didn't lose any weight BUT didn't gain any either!! Also I feel a little stronger from increased exercise, so all-in-all I'm pleased. Now time to get back to a routine and losing toward my Feb. 1st goal!! Thanks for all your support everyone!!

    Original SW 223
    Challenge SW 187
    Current Weight 172.2
Challenge GW 167 (for this challenge)
    Ultimate GW 145

I got sick AGAIN this pst week. I hate this time of year.

Getting close to my challenge goal but still not seeing a difference in my belly. I might have to drop my final goal weight at this rate because my stomach is still huge and I have less than 30lbs to go. -_-

@LadySaton - Do you take measurements? I always think I’m not losing weight in my stomach but this time around I decided to take measurements on the first of every month and I’m always losing more there than I think I am.

I had actually never recorded measurements in the app, didn’t really think to track that. I’ve been tracking it as I go down in pants sizes. I was at a 20 when I started, but almost immediately went down to an 18 as soon as I cut ingredients from my diet and stopped bloating. I got into 16s awhile ago. My 14s are just still way too tight though so I was feeling discouraged after trying them all on. I just measured and put the numbers in so I’ll start tracking that now so I can actually see some progress. Do you suggest measuring weekly or does that change more slowly than weight?

I only measure once a month just because I think I lose inches slowly but I know some people measure weekly. I know a drop a couple inches before dropping a pant size so it can be a nice way to see smaller increments of change since, for me at least, it takes a while for me to fit into the next size down.

I think I’ll take a few weeks then and measure again, rather than discourage myself by not seeing much of a change. That will also conveniently skip over my bloat-y weeks too. I already decided not to try the jeans out again until after vacation in January, just gonna give it some time and hope my body decides to cut me some slack. 🤔

We only have six weeks until the end of the challenge, so that’s not really enough time to try and lose 20 pounds at this point, but you could always just lose at your own pace and post for motivation? I doubt anyone would mind! Good luck on your journey :-)

This is a hard time of year to try and focus on our own health! My holiday season doesn’t personally start until just a couple days before Christmas and I’m not looking forward to the struggle of finding time for what I need to do while visiting with everyone and drowning in social obligations. Better luck this week!

Hi! Just joining this thread. Somethings gotta give. I have to get healthy. I have WAY too many health problems because of my weight.
    SW: 204
    Height: 5'9
    Goal weight: 160
*I am doing something different this time around. I am doing small goals of 1-2 pounds a week. Concentrating on the big goal doesn't work for me. I start freaking out when I have weight gain by a pound or so and then give up. I am also taking measurements. Good luck everyone! Feel free to friend me as well. ~Melissa
