How do I log marinade/sauce that I cook chicken in? I am not eating the sauce itself, just using it to add flavor.

I usually log marinated meat as a recipe or just log all the ingredients. Like if it's one pound of meat and I eat 4 ounces, then I log .25 of the marinade. I only do that if there is a lot of oil or sugar in the marinade. Sometimes it isn't even worth logging.

Or you could weigh the batch (meat + marinade) and subtract the weight of the leftover marinade. So much work. I just do it like I say above.

    Count it all.

Thanks I ended up just weighing the sauce and dividing it up between servings to make sure it gets logged. Super short time, thanks for the prompt response!
