    Happy Friday Pepper's,
    Well did not gain still at 195 pounds today. I have to start in on exercise. I should have dropped at least a pound sticking to my calories :grumble:

    I will get a walk in on my lunch. Check back later. Happy weigh it :bigsmile:

    Good Friday!!
    Well I overindulged again last night so I lost 1 pound would of been better if I had not had two bad days and exercise more. So need to step up more this week thats for sure. Plus Dear Sis kept me up till 2 and Dear daughter didnt walk in till 3:30 so I am at work with about 5 hour sleep so that is totally not meeting my sleep goal. Will try to do brtter today and def get to the gym this weekend!!

    per wii fit, using the balance board, i'm 166.4

    I'm going to start using the wii as "official" scale versus driving to Curves for their scale.

    Now per Jillian Micheal's wii -- using the same balance board, I'm 172.1

    Jilian is more accurate than wii fit. Here's why... based on my big monmouth dr scale at home, I' read 172.5/173.......of course it's difficult to see where that little line is. Digitial is soo much better.

    Any hoo, make Jillian official. I'm deleting the previous weight from my weigh in....

    Jacque a pound is good. I need to step it up. Already had a cheat meal today had a turkey sandwich for lunch and I am working late so going out with boss for dinner. I am drinking water until then. I have about 700 saved for dinner and cant drink when working so no calories there. I will just get something light. Tomorrow and Sunday, have plans in the yard and should get some great exercise there. Just have to make sure I check in both days. Sooooooooo.

    Goals for week end
    check in every morning
    eat 3 veggies and 3 fruits each day
    exercise at least 30 - 60 mins. each day (yard work usually goes 3 hours so I expect to get more in that that)
    stay with in calories
    Water, water, water and more water.

    I think I am going to make a week challenge to do at least 10 mins of strength before bed everyday. Are we trying a group challenge this week?

    finally, getting on here...crazy day! had mammogram, grocery @ 2 stores, took Subway to the guys @ work. I'M TIRED!

    So you all know how horrible my week 'last' week was...and I was up 11.2 lbs (not 11.8 as originally posted!). that had me at 198.6. Well, I am back down to 187.2 ( -11.4) ALL fluid! I weighed 187.4 2 wks ago, so that is on track. Gosh, I am gonna do my best to try and never let that happen again. I mean, maybe a few days, and hopefully not all in a row (yeah right!), but seriously, an entire week!?:sick: I will be measuring again the 28th, so that is what I am gonna keep in the back of my mind each day. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think stating daily goals has helped and checking in more. The motivation seems to be here again! Let's do this peppers!

    Cindy ~ congrats on staying the same...and no gain! just keep at it, the scale is bound to move! yard work burns lots of cals..make sure you have water with you the whole time! I am interested in a challenge too....exercise?? I liked it when we posted how many minutes we would workout each week and then tried to reach it or exceed it, as a team! I'll partake in any challenge...just say so gang! ideas???

    Jacque ~ congrats on the loss! YAY! I think you did very well this week...you ARE making progress! Just keep logging your food and try to exercise most days of the week. Hope you get a chance this weekend to get some extra sleep! Like your new pic! cool! I hope to do a 5K or two this fall. I need to look. I didn't realize how much it cost....how's your mom doing?

    Barb ~ Nice job on the 3lb loss! I have probs w/my scale too. Sometimes I have to step on it a few times before I get the same # twice! I think you are doing a good job with the wii...do you go to Curves anymore?

    MissVita ~ she posted on the old thread, but congrats on your loss! Keep those wildcats in line! Have fun girl!

    I am going to a farmer's market w/my best friend into the city tomorrow. My first one, with over 200 vendors! I am so excited!! But now, I need to stretch and tone with Leslie, yes, that is gonna happen.....I was so sore today! I did W6D2 of C25K, and if I feel strong I will finish wk 6 Sunday. Have a nice evening gang, and hope you can all check in this weekend real quick! take care!

    today's goals....7 water so far...clean eats so far.....C35K done, stretch & tone within the hour.....

    Well did not do too bad. Just got back from dinner with boss and the meeting (working late tonight) is just getting started. I did go over my 150 calories but I still have time to work it off.

    A exercise one is great. I really need to push the exercise. Feel very out of shape. The breathing thing really bothers me. Starting later tonight I will get in a little and like I said will be doing yard work all week end. Starting Monday I will bring extra tee shirt to work and walk on my lunch like I used too or will start doing shred early (about 4:30AM) before work. I will test that out on Monday morning, its only 20 mins, but a full body work out.

    Well my guests will be here shortly. Check back in am. :bigsmile:

    Did my exercise 105 mins today Kelly :drinker: Now for the rest of the day will do minor chores. Eating fruits and veggies. I am finally checking in on the week end. Goals for today are met. Have lots of calories to moderately eat. :laugh:

    Well need to get moving again or will get very sore. Check back tomorrow. Dont think I will have enough time to check back again today.

    went to the farmer's market....so much to see. didn't buy anything...but seen lots of cool beaded jewelry. neat-O! Had lunch at Applebee's....Asian Crunch salad...YUCK! too much cilantro. I left and was glad I had food in my car! it didn't taste that salty, but info on here says over 3,000 sodium! :noway: Gosh, not a repeat:huh: ...yikes! gulping again and will have a light supper. finished my workouts and cooling off now...quiet evening here and gonna try and get some extra zzzzz's. :yawn:

    Well did well yesterday. Will get at least 1 hour in for exercise today but not until later. Too much sun yesterday in yard will wait until sun shades hedges to do that today. This will be a full week checking in. If I get up early enough get to use sons computer.

    Well resting this morning, then back to working in yard, laundry and stuff. Have a great day will check back in am. :bigsmile:

    good afternoon.... went to in laws for lunch. did the best I could with what was served. think I am within cals, but just in case, will keep it light for supper. finished C25K W6 today. looks like for W7 I will be jogging for 25 minutes straight, x3. UGH! I am not fast at all. I think I will finish the program, and then start over and work on getting faster.....aiming for a 10 min mile.

    anyway, gonna do a little laundry and have a quiet eve. see you all in the am! take care pepper's and enjoy the rest of your day!

    Worked on the house all day Saturday, City coming today for inspection. Fingers crossed no fines. Sunday was dear son birthday so was up for Sunday school and did not stop till midnight. So here it is Monday, tired and wore out. So goals:
    Water
    log food
    exercise
    SLEEP!!!

    Happy Monday SHGP's! Hope you all had a great weekend! Well, in 30 days, school will be back in session here! Will be a different atmosphere for us as the boys will be in college. Our oldest moves on campus around Aug 20, and will be about 45 minutes from home...not that far away. I have a feeling I will be shopping there more...and occ'l picking up laundry and visiting the buffets..lol. Our youngest will be living at home, so no empty nest yet...but much quieter...he spends a good amount of time w/gf. I have no idea what things have changed for our school system and bus driving. Am sure there have been cuts with activities and field trips.

    Today, I have 3 workouts to do...to keep with my challenge. Will keep with clean eating and 9+ water. Otherwise, will be doing chores here in the house.

    Well met one goal and part of another. I did log all week end and stayed with in calories. But did not get exercise in yesterday, was feeling horrible from the day before. Think will ease on in with that. I will exercise before bed or get off bus and walk the rest of the way home. I am going to do this.

    Well took my kids to bible school this morning so the house is QUITE!!!! and they will be going to a different one this evening as well:) ALL WEEK LONG!!!! WHOOOOO! I love my kids, but they are acting like crazy monkeys
    ok Doing good, the hubby and i went to watch the derby championships for the team that is 1 1/2 hours north of us and it was AMAZING! learned a lot and can't wait to be that good! Been having a dry cough this week and it is getting bad, trying to pass it on to someone who can deal with it...any takers??:)

    ~Sunday-Took the doggies to the beach for 30 mins of walking
    ~Monday: going to help out at the "Fresh meat" skate maybe skate 1-1/2 hours
    ~Tuesday Skate night-2 1/2 hours
    ~wednesday- outdoor skate 2 hours
    ~Thrusday skate night 2 1/2 hours
    ~Friday Open skate? 1 1/2 hours
    Took those little monkeys and the dogs to the beach yesterday to get some walking in and let them all stretch some legs and lert my bigger one roam with noe leash and she found a seal pup!!! and sniffed its back all the way back into teh ocean! It was one of the most amazing things taht I had ever seen, and I was close enough to touch it, although I didnt :) my pup was just sniffing away and wasnt mean to it or anything... anyhow Have a good day all I will check back later!

    Hey ladies....hope you all did good today with your goals. I did my walk/jog just before lunch then did my wt lifting about 2 hrs later. Much better than last time...no tired/shaking muscles today. Fixed BLT's and corn on the cob for supper:tongue: My fav summer meal!

    Cindy ~ hope your are recovering and feeling better. do you think it was too much heat? good job on the weekend, logging in and in calories! keep at it!

    Vita ~ I know how ya feel bout them kiddos....my 2 boys were wild! not sure how I managed back then. I bet you are amazing already with the derby gang...I would love to see you in action! You have been working so hard and I am sure you are getting stronger and better with each workout! hope your cough gets better...we can't have you sick! love your beach story and the seal pup! that had to be so cool!

    Even though I did not get any real exercise yesterday I did stay under calories. I am hoping to get some in today it is so hot I dont want to feel like I did Saturday. Eating fruits and veggies and drinking water.

    I really want this but dont know why getting exercise in is so hard, I was able to fit it in at my luch but it is too hot. (cant work covered in sweat). Even if I brought a change of clothes it wont help my hair from being soaked and then right in really cold air conditioning will get me sick. I know it sounds like an excuse but I get sick easy.

    Will it is what it is. I will keep trying. It cant stay this hot forever.

    Morning everyone,
    Well yesterday started so good and then for some reason I went on an eating frenzy last night. I was so tired I didn't want to cook so I ate crap all night until I went to bed at 10pm. But had to get up early for tumor boards so I didn't get enought sleep.
    Cindy- I so know what you mean i can't seem to want to get out in the heat either and I am so behind in stuff around the house I don't have enough time or energy to exercise.

    hey all...hope you are all off on a good start and continue on.... just focus on today...you can do it ladies! I will be doing some beading today...have to make a matching necklace/bracelet for a mom of a bus kid, then gonna finish my sis's mother's bracelet. I hope for those of you in the heat get relief soon. I can handle a little heat..but when it gets humid, I'm a hermit in my house. The steaminess does me in. I remember before we had our treadmill, I would get up and walk around 5:30, 6ish. Even doing DVD workouts I get slimy and drenched in the house w/AC on. A lot of people head to the malls to walk...but that is over 1/2 hr away for me.

    Well I sucked it up and went for a walk anyway. I did 30 mins, brought a cloth with me and a tank top. Was not too bad and felt great to walk again. Its like no cares just walking. I will be pushing myself to do the exercise I think that is the only way I will loose anything. Well here is the plan.

    Exercise this week.
    M-F 30 min walk at lunch
    Sat. 60-90 min walk
    Sun. 30 day shred (its only 20 mins)

    Jacque I hate when I do that and its not ever that Im hungry its more habit. It maybe a little easier on me most of the time I dont have to cook just eat what is made. (Mom loves to cook), I do the dishes :laugh: I had after dinner a couple of chips, now the bag is usually gone when I eat in front of the tv. But instead, after a couple of handfuls, I said to myself. What are you doing? You dont want to eat the bag go put it back. So that is what I did. The funny part was while talking to myself, my son though I was talking to him and asked what he needed to put back. :laugh:

    Just letting you know I am doing what ever it takes to keep going. Check back later. :bigsmile:

    Cindy ~ :laugh: Chips are my biggest downfall. Right now we have corn chips, Cheddar Sun Chips & Doritos all opened...So, today I had *my* chips.... a serving of the baked Tostitos and fresh salsa. Still wanting more flavor...so may have to have a serving or 2 and log it....but still keep in calories. Putting the bag away is very hard to do, I agree. It looks like you are doing good with your foodies and you got in a walk! Go you! Nothing stopping ya now!

    Hi folks.....

    I have may mentioned my 13yr old is going for two sleep studies for apena and Dave did one test. The results for Dave came in. Not good... not good at all. His next appt is w/a cardiologist and another sleep study.

    I decided I'm tracking my sleep before Dave gets his sleep mask and after. He could be reason I don't sleep well or I may have a sleep disorder too. Won't hurt me to track....won't hurt me to tell my dr, hey, can I have referral to a sleep specialist based on these logs. I'm using the same log my daughter is to track her sleep patterns.

    Here's what one of the sleep specialist staff told Dave about sleep & weight loss. Our bodies need the REM sleep. (which he isn't getting). This staff member told Dave her father got a mask and LOST 90lbs. That was the only change her father did.

    So, I'm thinking lack of sleep could be why I'm not losing....cuz his sleep patterns are waking me... my daughter's sleep patterns are waking me. And at 805am, I am yawing big time as I type this.

    We're doing counseling in the evening which screws with my evening Curves time. Since the counselor arrives at my house at 2pm and leaves at 8pm (yes, that's 6 hours -- 2 hrs w/each kid), I leave the office at 12. Well, this is screwing with my end of work day workout too. ughh....

    Gotta go.... and wake up ..... (I don't do coffee either!)

    oops I did it again, ate like a pig at dinner and I was so tired after workin 10 hours with no break. I need SLEEP!
    Barb- My sister and Brother both have sleep apnea. My brother got the mask and it really helped him alot. My sister still hasnt but really needs it. My 17 year old was tested when she was 13 and has a mild form of it. Not enought to get a mask. My 17 yr old has tyhe worse slepp habits ever. Part of the reason I dont slleep is because she dont sleep. She suffers from insomnia also. She got home at midnight last noght and went to bed at 5 but was in and out of my room several times which wakes me up everytime.
    I so know if I could get better sleep I could do better plus when I sllep good I execise good to

    :laugh: suppose Mike could add that to the MFP daily log? I generally am a light sleeper anyway...birds chirping and the locusts buzzing can wake me..even light rain. When I am really tired, exhausted, I have very strange dreams, and I know I am getting REM then. DH snores and I get the best sleep when he is on vacation :happy: My mom has SA and has had a machine for almost 10 yrs. She's had 3 different ones, and they are really good about making sure the mask fits properly. I have been on vacation with her, and the humming of the machine is barely noticeable and actually quite soothing! My grandpa had narcolepsy and that was scary.
    Anyway, I hope you all get some sleep and/or the treatment if needed. Sleep IS just as important as eating healthy, drinking water and exercising..... which I feel is a challenge to balance all at once.

    Today is my toughest workout of the week.....77 minutes! C25K W7D2 which is a 5 min brisk walk followed by a 25 minute jog and then a 5 minute cool down walk. I also will be doing 2 resistance workouts. I am sure my intake will be around 2000 - 2200 today....plus, I will be mowing in there somewhere.

    Well it is the middle of the week all! and am crazy with anticipation! I have this great oppertunity that i was told about and I will tell you more when i find out if i made the "CUT". ANyhow

    Barb~ Sounds like there is not a lot of sleeping in your house, and it makes me wonder if i sleep enough or at all:) LOL would love to get a copy of you log and track how i am sleeping.

    Jacque~ I believe that I ate a lot lastnight as well, but it didnt show it this morning when i logged my food for yesterday...lesson learned for me is to not forget to logg it that night! Oh well! today is a whole new day!
    Gonna try to do outdoor skateing tonight, we will see. Got my doctors apt today for me throat, and my arm is sore from some hard hitting lastnight. Ill keep you all updated
