    UPDATE:

    I've just checked my first day bulking and numbers seem PRETTY similar.
    So I believe MFP is giving me about a 300 calorie surplus. That's good, right?

    I may however allow negative calories if I'm being extremely lazy though?

    Cheers for links - have looked around before for fat amounts while 'lean' bulking - specifically on a leangains style IF where I'm eating 750 cals over TDEE or so on weights days (250 under on non-weights days, so presumably less worries then.)

    My trainer right now has me eating clean at like 4,000 calories with expectations to build muscle and drop fat...i'm having a hard time eating all the required food though ha

    I had 4000 calories on Sunday and had to stop myself having more - but then that's why I'm here - a bit TOO good at eating :).
